Ayumix 8 reaks of dubstep
 

Who else can fore see this? Personaly I am living in fear and sadness that my favorite girls trance remixes are going this way.

I mean we've heard it with Missing Dubscribe (even went as far as editing the damn song lol) and Snowy Kiss, which seems to be everyones favorite has dubstep moments in Shohei Matsumoto remix.

So what do you guys think for Ayumix 8 and 2013 trance genre overall with the oncoming dubstep mania? Me? I am very upset heh.

I think it might be time for her to modernize her remixes, gain more fanbase instead of driving the new ones away and slowly driving away old fans.

I actually really like dubstep. (Well, to anger "real dubstep" fans, I actually really like the melodic poppy glitchstep/brostep that Skrillex does. Unironically. There, I said it. Big whup, wanna fight about it?)

So if that's how ayu-mi-x 8 sounds, it'll be a huge improvement over 6 and 7 which were absolute messes aside from a few select tracks. I miss trance too, but there's not much we can do about the fact that prog trance & anthem trance just aren't the "in" thing anymore. :( We still have a heck of a selection of good Ayu trance remixes to still listen to though, so that's good. :)

Kumi's "dubstep" remixes are really great on the Beach Mix and Driving Hits series. They are almost a hybrid of trancy synths and dubstep wobble. Still very melodic and uplifting. I love that mixture. Wish Ayu would go that route.

I hate dubstep so much and it sounds so clique when pop genre uses it.
Her remixers or whatever need to stop.

Missing + Dubstep was a disaster, but it could work with rockish songs imo, it could add a feeling of ~chaos~ on the song :P

I can see it happening. Missing (Dubscribe remix) was an atrocity, but it worked well for Wake me up (Remo-con rmx).

It's gotta be in small doses in the right places.

I loved Missing, Wake me up and Snowy kiss! I'm a big ayutrance fan but I'm also looking forward to see more Dubstep in the future :innocent

Just go back and listen to her first trance album, since that's sheer perfection. That's what I do. We don't need anything else. And dubstep is fine.

And we probably aren't going to get an ayumix 6 for a while lol so...

I was totally fine with Missing's dubstep remix - IMHO Ayu's got the perfect voice to accompany remixes so just about anything that isn't the clusterblup of 6 G/S is a-okay with me :)

I loved the House album the most so I hope she goes and does more like that actually. AT2 is my all-time favourite though, so if she could replicate that somehow I would be amazed and happy forever

I wouldn't want a remix album of JUST that. But like, one or two songs I wouldn't mind. Dubstep isn't AWFUL, it's just overplayed so it's become annoying to me.

Maybe she can do ayu-mi-x 8 ~dubstep trance house party...and then we relax with acoustic orchestra~

I think certain songs should be untouched for remixes. Missing should have been left alone.

She needs to have an album filled with a bunch of songs that have never been remixed...

I didn't like the Missing or Song 4 U dubstep remixes on Love but I love the Wake Me Up and Snowy Kiss remixes. So if it's anything like those mixes, I'm up for it!

As long as it sounds like the Wake me up dubstep remix, I'm all in. I'm kinda shocked that dubstep popularity is reaching Japan.. I've been a huge fan of the genre since it's first originated so it's insane to hear an dubstep Ayu remix. Opening with it in COUNTDOWN LIVE this year was mind-blowing. I guess Ayu likes the remix too?!!?! :p

I will agree though that the Missing remix was just a DISASTER.

Yeah it's the first time she use a remix version for a live ? isn't it ?

Wake me up remix isn't bad, I just love the original so much that I don't think the remix stands up to it.
