Ty for making a new thread, I was wondering what happened to the old one LOL I'm pretty pleased with the election results, I am so happy that Rina Ikoma made it! Also pleased to see Saynee at no.6. I think the single that has this senbatsu in it is going to be great.

visionfactory 7th June 2014 09:31 PM

I can't believe Mayuyu won XD I'm just so happy about it, and glad to see W Matsui and Sayanee so high too ^_^ they deserve it!

adantatu2 7th June 2014 09:43 PM

I'm happy for Mayuyu, but she was already the center in the dog's song, XD.

Kojiharu and Takamina in the top 10 <3

YUKARI 8th June 2014 01:44 AM

I watched the whole ceremony and KojiHaru's speech almost killed me!!! I'm so glad she didn't say it! I don't want her to graduate!

I'm glad that we won't see Sasshi as a center and I was happy when they called Mayuyu's name but her unemotional speech disappointed me. I expected her to cry & to show her true feelings (like all girls did including Atsuko, Yuko, Sashiko), but she kept being "a robot". And one moment I even felt like the results weren't true and Sasshi actually won, but who knows.

I'm glad to see Paruru high :heart she was the only member to honor her fans that was soooo cute!

LONJJONG 8th June 2014 04:15 AM

Best:
1. Mayuyu center! I predicted Sasshi, but I'm glad that Mayuyu made it.
2. Ricchan senbatsu. She's interesting! She also appeared for the speech...
3. Tanamin finally ranked in. Felt so great for her!! Her reaction was the best.
4. Paruru speech lol
5. Yukko (SKE) ranked!

Disappointment:
1. Both Churi & Airin dropped. Churi might end up in Next Girls next year... :(
2. Suuchan didn't rank. Even Myao and Aamin managed to rank.. but Aamin might be out of rank next year
3. Akarin's position. I don't like her

Shocks:
1. Ikoma ranked. Congrats for her.
2. Ayachan in senbatsu... despite received fewer votes than last year, she made it into senbatsu.
3. Sakuratan in senbatsu. Never expected her to be this powerful!
4. Milky dropped out of senbatsu, I guess the scandal really affected her huh
5. Kanon dropped so low

Bigtop 8th June 2014 08:02 AM

FINALLY!!! Sasshi has been dethroned by Mayuyu!!!

Rude!
Sasshi gave Mayu a run for her money, and she'll probably rise to the top next year.

Anyway, even if I wanted Sasshi as 1st, I smiled when I saw Mayu's surprised face when she realized she had won. The girl has worked hard since she came in 7 years ago.

The senbatsu is SICK! Ricchan! Sakura! Ikoma! Love those three there.
Undergirls with Renacchi, Juri, Annin, Haruppi and Yuria. LOVING IT!
From there down it's a bit of a weird mix, but that's how the election works lol

I like how the tide is changing though. Old and mid-gens are going down and the new gens are stepping up their game and snatching positions all around. Ricchan, a 11th gen member, at 16th is a great step forwards, but it also shows that AKB members have it harder. Sayanee debuted months after Ricchan and she's at 6th already. And Sakura came in a year after and is now at 11th... great movements, but shows that if you wanna make it, you better audition for any group but for AKB lol

Agreed :yes

It's going to get more competitive from here on out - we're seeing a lot of variety! Although there hasn't been anything interesting from the newest generations for me, to be honest...

Trinu 13th June 2014 09:10 AM

Yeah, next year is going to be a battle between Mayu vs Sasshi vs Jurina vs Sayanee.

Yukirin and Rena better hold on to their horses!

tokyoxjapanxfan 13th June 2014 01:09 PM

I'm glad to see Iriyama Anna move up 10 spots! I hope by next year she'll be higher :)

I don't listen to AKB, but whenever Anna's on TV I enjoy her haha

YUKARI 4th July 2014 06:18 AM

Ono Erena to retire from entertainment industry! http://www.tokyohive.com/article/201...nment-industry

Wow
I guess she left AKB too soon. She could be one of the aces right now... I hope she won't go to AV industry.

Trinu 5th July 2014 08:21 AM

No wonder, she's been struggling for so long.

Oh, well!

Ai no Sonzai is the theme of their new documentary:
https://soundcloud.com/sae-aiew-char...8-ai-no-sonzai

People are saying it's kinda fogettable. It seems they pretty much ignored 2013 and just went to focus on what's happened in 2014, which is... Yuko graduating - slashing accident - Mayu winning the election with some Takamina here and there? lol

Also, SKE's new single, Bukyou Taiyou, is all sorts of amazing:
http://satoukun.tumblr.com/post/9057...48-15th-single

Pretty much like NMB's lead song for their 2nd album:
http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/NMB48--...4e2406a0dddac7

No news from HKT yet. Damn, they're slow.

Trinu 6th July 2014 12:25 PM

Oh, Sasshi's win is still in. But the focus is on 2014.

Agreed. :yes One day at a time...but I'm sure we might have a new rivalry since Acchan-Yuko - the Mayuyu-Sasshi rivalry!

LONJJONG 14th July 2014 09:23 AM

They pull out another mediocre song (again) :no

adantatu2 14th July 2014 09:14 PM

Ugggh, he wants to kill AKB48 ??
This is bad

Polyrhythm 15th July 2014 01:52 AM

Um they died in like 2011, at least musically and image wise.

visionfactory 15th July 2014 07:24 AM

Sounds almost like a kindergarden song :( SKE and NMB are releasing better things than AKB lately

Trinu 15th July 2014 08:57 AM

SKE's new single is unbeatable. The b-sides are some of the best they've released lately.

Here is Team S's song:
https://soundcloud.com/lanlanla-kun-1/team-s-cw

And here is Team KII's (WICH IS AMAZING!!!!):
https://soundcloud.com/fuuyuukaidesu...kii-song-ske48

I really wonder how AkiP chooses the music.
I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even tried for AKB, since their HS sales are like... the 75%- 85% of the total.

In the other hand, each group is in different labels.
SKE is in avex. NMB is in laugh out loud. HKT is in Universal. AKB is in King's Records... so I guess each label has their own composers and stuff while AkiP only writes the lyrics.
Or maybe not and he really is trying to give AKB the worst he can manage lol

Still, I've had Kokoro no Placard in repeat for a while (I always do with their new songs) and... well, it isn't their best, but I guess it's what really fits Mayu. The most idolish song they could do for the most idolish member.

Now here's hoping for better b-sides. Undergirls has a killer line-up, so I'm eager to hear that!
