Although they share the same last name, they are not blood related. In 1992 they started appearing together in magazines. Until this time they didn't have a formal name as a unit. Then on December 31, 1992 they backdanced for SMAP at NHK as "Kanzai Boya". Nakai Masahiro apparently did not approve of this, so when kinki appeared on the first broadcast of KISS shita? SMAP on April 4, 1993 he renamed them KinKi Kids. Using all uppercase Ks became standard in 1994. No KinKi Kids didn't had their own thread here . Instead they were part of the Johnnys Seniors thread where all the senior groups (V6 , SMAP , Tackey & Tsubasa + etc) were all discussed together
1st KinKi Kids single song I heard of them was Harmony of December , hard to believe it has been 10 years since it was 1st released o_O Their older works such as Glass no Shounen , Jetcoaster・Romance , Yamenaide, PURE , Anniversary are still timeless classics even up to now |
