Super impressive sales. Namie deserves it. While I think a normal best would have sold fairly well (Ballada levels), there is no denying that the retirement announcement vaulted it to these extreme levels in this day and age.

Impressive indeed. I'm pretty sure she will reach at least BEST FICTION's sale level.
I wonder if she will participate to Kohaku this year, it would be nice as a final goodbye. |
I have a question, because i didn't really follow what's been going on recently : is FINALLY her last release ever? Or will she release another new album in 2018 (I mean with new songs). Or we don't know yet?
Anyway, i'm happy for her for those numbers, if only she could sell 1 million for the first week! |
^We don't know yet, but my guess is that Finally is, indeed, her last release.

The re-recorded versions are exactly what I wanted from Namie. I could never get in to her older works (not for lack of trying), partly because I didn't like her voice when she was younger. Her current, mature voice is really more my style. So hearing those old tracks with her current voice was so much fun! I got to really appreciate tracks that didn't appeal to me before. Finally could definitely go on my wishlist. :) |

About the discussion of Namie's current voice in the rerecordings of the old songs, I'm also happy with it. I love how strong it sounds on the super monkeys tracks. I've become a fan of Aishite Muscat because of it!
As for the other songs, I really like the little effects they added, like the stronger bass in how to be a girl, (is it a harp? in tsuki,) the bells in say the word, ect... its minor changes and enhancements that make the rerecordings special to me |
Aishite Muscat is probably my favorite of her old songs. (I just only first listened to them when she announced her retirement and I was feeling nostalgic.) It's just so freaking fun. I cannot not dance to it when I listen to it. Though I also like Mister USA. It's embarrassingly cheesy but just as fun too!

I'm still going through the grieving process myself....every time I think about her retirement I just want to bawl my eyes out. I am so glad that she will hit at least 1 million before the week is done. |
I'm also loving Aishite Muscat haha. I never really bothered to listen to her Super Monkeys material before Finally but I'm loving them now :laugh
I hope we get the tour schedule either later today or tomorrow! Surely she has to announce everything before the fanspace lottery on Monday... :tired |

20k more than I expected for day 4. I wonder if she can make 2Million in the very very long run?! It will be hard but I don't think it will be impossible. After the initial 1,5 Million she will probably settle for 1-3k a week for another year

Hey guys I took pics of the Shibuya109 Pop up store. Its a little small but it was still very cool that they did it. I herd it was extremely busy on opening day with a huge waiting line. I went on the 10th basically when it opened and it still had a bunch of fans passing by to take pictures. I took a small vid that I will post up the link later when I upload it to iG
