On the website, it says it's from the July 2002 edition of VOGUE Japan/Nippon.

I found the pic through google images and never guessed from VOGUE!
I wonder if there are more photos of Ayu from the same edition.

well... didn't find much info. There is no 2002/07 VOGUE with ayu, most close is 2002/09. Not sure this girl nexr door style matches with other images
