What song would you like to see Ayu cover?
 

Of course Ayu has done a few covers in her career already - teens, Movin' On Without You, 卒業写真, to name some. If, however, you could have Ayu cover a song of your own choosing, what would it be? Feel free to choose across styles and languages, of course!

For a Japanese song, I think it could be a lot of fun if she tried her hand at RADWIMPS' Zenzenzense. She has shown to be able to have a lot of fun with the uptempo rocky stuff (independent, Humming 7/4) so I think she would do great.

For something different, I can only dream of the possibilites a cover of Girls' Generation's I Got A Boy would offer. Multi-layering nine Ayus to achieve what would undoubtedly be something transcendent (a point of reference, for who's familiar, 'd be Joanna Newsom's Peach, Plum, Pear) I'd expect nothing but pure auditory bliss.

The cover I wanted the most she did recently, "Haru yo, Koi". But I think she could do a beautiful "One more time, one more chance" cover.

This song!!! It’s covered by some Chinese singer and it became very popular in China. Wish ayu can do a cover.

I've also been thinking that it would be awesome if she covered a H/\L song. I remember finding H/\L way back when in my quest for Ayu-like J-pop and there is nothing that ever came closer. Something like this would fit Ayu perfectly:

The producers of H/\L worked for Ayu arranging a lot of her songs and after the disbandment, one of them (Yuta Nakano) kept working for her until now (he composed Ohia no Ki, for example)

Yeah, exactly, it's what originally set me on their path, though I was always surprised their popularity seemed so limited.
