Ayu is the most sung act on karaoke service DAM for the last 30 years
 

DAM, along with Joysound, is one of the main karaoke services in Japan. They celebrated their 30th anniversary, and unvelied their most sung acts these past 30 years, with Ayu ending up at #1!

Ayu left a message for this achievement:

"I was extremely surprised when I heard that my songs were the most sung in 30 years!

I am truly grateful that so many people have continued to love my various songs over the years.

I would be happy if ayumi hamasaki's music could continue to be close to everyone's side in the future."

I'm shocked it's her.

I'm not that surprised because Ayu has something that's very rare: the number of popular songs. I mean, there are a lot of popular artists with huge hits, but maybe they are 4, 5 big hits and some known songs. Ayu may have 8, 10 major hits and DOZENS of popular songs. It's not only her popularity, but her catalogue resonates greatly with people.

The craziest thing is that she only had 25 years to achieve this :heart
