Whatever happened to HAL from Avex?

The last time I checked they've been taken off the artist list. It's like they just vanished and they didn't say why. :no

i know and they got good songs too
is prolly avex needs more money and "ditched" the group
:no hope they come back..i mean first Halna..don't her real name is cute and nice voice which reminds me of older days of ayu and also they use to make some real good mixes for ayu/elt...:no

They ditched them as a group and did d.a.t instead unforunately -_-" Which isn't as good imo...

H/\L still does remixes and arrangments, but the H/\L with H/\LNA as the vocalist is gone...their "Singles" CD+DVD didn't even reach top 40...

That's very unfortunate.

That's really sad, because I liked/like HAL a lot. :( I can't believe DAT replaced them. They aren't even half as talented. :no

And what happened to H/\LNA? Did she just disappear or something?

Very sad indeed. HAL's songs are nice and "dramatic", hey i love their "I'll be the one" song very much... d*mn AVEX for this *huff*

Yeah....I have noticed that H/\L has disappeared...a few songs are featured in the a-nation 150 Anniversary 50 Tracks CDs.

I heard that's a crappy CD...All the songs are chopped up in a minute or two versions and stringed together...

They're their own group and they're not trying to copy anyone.

dat is a poor-man's ELT. No matter what they do, they'll always be a 2nd rate ELT. The only reason I think people gave them a listen was because they heard Mitsuru Igarashi was the producer.

Why have dat when you can have ELT?

To us fans of H/\L, it means that they took H/\L's spot. Nobody said they were copying anyone -- it's just stupid.

Oh, it's just a personal lack of fondness for misono's vocals leaf-kun, there's nothing wrong with d.a.t's music.

It's funny how Avex brings out all these groups in the format of ELT just incase ELT loses their popularity one day, but they're still the highest selling one so far...:P (globe's obviously lost their popularity big time though)

globe have lost their popularity, but am I the only one who thinks TK should NEVER do pop or ballads, and just do dance/trance/club music forever? That's the only stuff of his that I ever REALLY liked, so i like globe's newer stuff alot...

my opinion on DAT is that... well... i like misono's voice ALOT more than Kaori Mochida's. I've NEVER liked Kaori's voice very much. She sounds like she's trying to sing falsetto but with power at the same time (which is impossible unless you're an opera singer), and she can't hit notes without gradually going up to them, which always bothered me (of course, the vocals in Fundamental Love probably screwed me up forever, she sounds so awful there). Misono has better control than kaori and i find her less frustrating to listen to.

H/\L? Yeah, i miss them. Some really good songs.

Oh, and one more thing... no one on the avex label is trying to replace anyone, okay? Each group is their own. Chances are if ELT or ayu ever fade, it'll be because that style is no longer fashionable, and no group will be able to replace them by using a similar formula. If something fades, why would you replace it with something that's the same?? No one will buy it. That's really bad business strategy. If a group forms, they form because they want to, and that's the style they want to do. It usually has nothing to do with the higher-ups at avex. DAT isn't replacing ELT, nor are any other female-fronted groups like Do As Infinity, The Brilliant Green... there are plenty of others (like Dreams Come True, who were the original ELT-formula type group). They're all just groups of people playing the music they wanna play.

AfanforXX and ~K+ let's just forget day after tomorrow or misono, the growing hatred toward each other is only going to turn into an endless flame war, because you know, ELT fans and dat fans are always foes and will never ever get along... -_-

Wrong lol i love both and I'm in no conflict with myself...or any ELT fans...or any dat fans...or WHATEVER LOL:) :yes

We can just agree to disagree and let our ayu fandom UNITE! us :) No reason to be foes.
