Does anyone like metal/harder music?
 

This topic was kinda inspired by the who likes hardcore topic, but this is more aimed towards metal. I, for one, LOVE metal. Some of my favorite bands are PIg Destroyer, Cannibal Corpse, Circle of Dead Children, Iced Earth, Cryptopsy, Blind Guardian, and the list goes on. It's nice to have a little Ayu to listen to when I need some nice, soft music. lol.

I just saw a video by Iced Earth last night, good stuff ^^
I listen to rock (Linkin Park, Jimmy Eat World, Kagrra, Dir en grey, Gazette, etc...) and nu-metal (Mudvayne, Slipknot, etc...). I havent found too many metal bands Ive really loved yet. Im really into Cradle of Filth right now. Nymphetamine is <3.

hell no. i hate metal music.
but not as much as country music.

I used to like metal, but not anymore. My favorite bands were bands such as Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Cephalic Carnage, God Dethroned - basically a lot of Relapse bands, actually, and then some. Later on, I started to lean more towards grindcore - old Napalm Death, Nasum, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Flesh Parade, Gorerotted. I don't listen to grindcore much anymore though, either.

yeah, I listened to heavy music more than I listen to Jpop. I like bands like Children of Bodom, Amorphis, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Entombed, Carcass, In Flames, Cradle of Filth, Bloodstain Child....
I also listened a lot to Industrial (KMFDM, Ministry, Sonic Mayhem,...) and the more mainstream metal bands like Korn, Rob Zombie, System of a Down... and some old bands like Metallica, Prong or Pantera.

You sir, have awesome taste in metal.

I'll have to disagree with Dillinger Escape Plan being called a metal band.

I love digital hardcore... :yes

That means i love Atari Teenage Riot, Alec Empire, Kid606, Hanayo, Hanin Elias, Mad Capsule Markets... etc. =)

Good choice there. Be sure to checkout the Alec Empire vs. Merzbow live at CBGBs NYC 1998 album. It's chaos, it's hardcore, it's brilliant.

my ex-b/f loveeeeees metal. His favorite band is Blind Guardian ^.^ I'm not a huge fan of the stuff because I think some of it sounds cheesy ahahaha but I have to admit I do like a couple songs by BG

That's one mighty fine list there. Carcass is awesome. So is Dream Theater. I only have their Images & Words CD, but I love it.

I love it! Its what I used to listen to all the time, before I got into Ayu. I still do listen to it a lot, but yea....J-Music gets more of my attention now. But its making its comeback slowly.
