Yoon Do-hyun first started his singing career as a member of an amateur singing group called “The Paper Kite.” As a member of the club, Yoon was invited as guest performer for various live concerts and there he started to receive attention from the major pop music world. Yoon Do-hyun is acknowledged for his powerful voice, honest attitude and explosive live performances. Since he formed the Yoon Do-hyun Band, Yoon’s voice displayed an even more charismatic power. Yoon writes the songs and lyrics of most of his albums. He also performed in various genres including musicals and rock operas. He starred in a rock music film entitled “The Jungle Story,” a rock opera “Gaettong-yi” and rock musicals “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “The Hard Rock Café.” He recently gave a European tour concert with his band the Yoon Band. Yoon also currently hosts a mid-night music show aired every Friday on KBS TV.
Maya
Maya is a talented female rocker who has already been acknowledged by other big musicians in Korea. She has been a fixed guest singer for singer Lee Hyun Woo and JK Kim Dong Wook, two famous and skilled musicians of Korea. She has also appeared in ‘MP 2000 Hip-hop contest’ and ‘2001 I Love Hip-hop’ as a guest, along with many other small concerts, proving she’s very experienced with the stage.
In the year 2003, she finally released her first official album ‘Born to do it,’ with the support of many other great musicians such as the legendary band “Boo hwal”; the title song “Good day & Good bye” is actually written and played by the former members of “Boo hwal,” showing off their friendship with Maya. Her pop-like and refined voice makes her songs unique, making it her a Korean-style rock; especially in her song “Azalea Flower.” However, once again, with her great stage manner and unique voice, Maya released another album ‘Rock Star’ in May of 2004.
