thought about Born To Be...

on the richard hammonds 5oclock show [british program] they said that in 2days the winter olympics will start. Now is there gonna be like a grand opening playing everycountrys song or something because if there is we could hear Born To Be...

"Born To Be..." is not going to be played at the Olympic Games. It is not Japan's song. "Born To Be..." is just NTV's broadcasting theme.

damn it, why do i always have to hear info wrong >___<

Jennie Mae 8th February 2006 07:08 PM

If they played every countries song the opening ceremonies would be like ten hours long....
Still, it would be worth it to hear Ayu, wouldn't it?

micster 8th February 2006 07:13 PM

hold on i just thought if its that channels theme then can we expect a tv rip?

JimmyKoria 8th February 2006 08:27 PM

:x I don't think you'll get a full or clear rip of the song from the broadcast. It's not like she's going to play it live.

We might get a higher-quality but short clip from the opening & commercial bumper sequences. Won't know till friday though.

Dark Eiri 9th February 2006 02:04 AM

The japanese theme is Hitomi Shimatani's "Sky High", not "Born to be...", but I'm sure that soon we will get a higher quality clip!

BOTH are the theme. Ayumi's is for NTVs coverage of the Olympics, Hitomi's is for another network.

Probably neither... who actually takes the time out of their day to watch the olympics?

Delirium-Zer0 9th February 2006 08:36 AM

People who like sports, or have crushes on Apolo Ohno. :P

Lots of people, especially in Japan. Figure Skating is a hugely popular sport there and they have several hopes for medals at this Olympics.

Here it's also a major event, not figure skating though. Norway always gets a lot of medals. ALready the statesupported station is airing winter sports 24/7. :headache Luckily I don't watch TV much.

orenji_jaro 9th February 2006 11:46 AM

i dont like sports hehe... i think Born to be.. will be more like a background music for the NTV olympics.. liek it would be used for their commercial or liek the one we heard.. it was played during the talk ^^

Ryoko 10th February 2006 12:54 AM

I ACTUALLY watch the Olympics. Plus, Michelle Kwan is skating on my birthday (the 19th). And I've been a fan of hers since I was young.

elepop 10th February 2006 02:24 AM

Well, there's already a live rip of "Startin'". I'm sure the full song will sound A LOT like the live version. Well, from the mu-mo CM, it sounds exactly alike.
