favorite instruments?

I really like the guitar, especially the acoustic guitar because it sounds more real than the electric. I also like the drums because it takes a lot of energy to learn. Also the Kaoss pad which makes sounds change and what not...so what are yours?

Corybobory 18th February 2006 07:51 PM

I love Spanish guitar. It makes me melt. Violins rule too.

*Petit* 18th February 2006 07:58 PM

Violins, piano, any flute and koto.

I also like the electronic sound one gets from syntus and el-guitars. :)

Koto, Trumpet (my instrument) I love big drums like Timpanis. Lets see.... Waht else... Acoustic guitar & piano. Thats all I can think off the top of my hat.

O! and Cellos!

To listen to or to play? To play: drums or guitar. Energetic and with immediate and satisfying results. To listen to: virtually anything, also largely dependent on its context. E.g., the use of horns on Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over The Sea album or in Love Is All's repertoire strikes me as brilliant, but when used in a punk/ska context it does nothing for me. Some other favourite instruments: guitar (electric or acoustic), drums, bass (fundamental, people!), trumpet, harp, harpsichord, saxophone, banjo, piano, violin (or just strings in general).

to play? come on, the flute!
if anyone says "and one time at band camp" i am just about ready to kick anyone in the head who says that...omg i have heard it so many times, its not funny anymore...

Drums, Piano, Guitar (Electric/Acoustic), Any Japanese or Chinese traditional instruments, Strings, Electric Bass guitar, Upright bass, Saxophone.

Any instuments can be beautiful really, it just depends on how they are used.

The flute. But that is because I play it. :P But also the piano and oboe. And electric guitars.

Nikki 19th February 2006 06:04 PM

Piano, violin, guitar, harp and flute.

sexysaucestar 19th February 2006 10:37 PM

Well, I used to play trumpet...so of course I still favor that instrument :D I also like violin, piano, oboe, clarinet, etc....I like most/all instruments. :P

chibi_sunny 19th February 2006 11:36 PM

i think that if played right, the Flute is a very passionate instrument. Right now, i'm singing to a song that has a flute piece, and my heart races everytime i listen to it!
i also like violins and guitars. They're very powerful instruments.

Haha. You reminded me of Mariachi. =D And of course the violin rules. So does the piano.

Mad_Cactuar 20th February 2006 10:28 AM

Acoustic guitars, mandolins, violins...

miracleofsuzaku 20th February 2006 01:03 PM

Violin, flute, clarinet, saxphones(alto, soprano, tenor, bari), oboe, and pretty much all woodwinds.

Sweer 20th February 2006 06:59 PM

my favorite has to be the guitar :)
one of the reasons I started learning how to play it ;)
of course there are styles I like to play or like to listen to and others where I think why they have to torture that beautiful instrument that way.

I absolutely love the acoustic guitar as well and want to learn how to play it, since this is quite different from the way you play an electric.

and as for classical instruments. there is none that beats the violine :yes

I think these are the instruments that blend in best with the voice and can express emotions like no other

DA1SUK1DAY01691 20th February 2006 07:56 PM

I can't play anything... may be one song on an ukulele?

But to listen to, I like woodwinds and strings. If they play in proper proportion to themselves, they can send shivers down spines. I also like chinese and japanese instruments, like the koto, and the big taiko.

cleftjuston 21st February 2006 10:03 AM

fav instruments, i think that would have to be the bass guitar, although i have never played it before nor do i know how
