I concur :yes . I don't see anything wrong with them except for the occasional bonus items. I actually prefer purchasing them rather than getting the original Japanese version for almost twice the price.

personally i dont like them... theres just something tacky about the overseas versions, even though they are cheaper... :yconfused :puke
plus they dont count towards oricon sales, which sucks, so ur not technically properly "supporting" the artist of the cd youre buying (regarding japanese sales anyway)

sexysaucestar 11th March 2006 07:34 AM

I don't really care, although with Ayu/other J artists I like a lot I try to buy the Japan versions. But hey, if I'm in Hong Kong or something of course I will buy any J-music there...even if it is overseas versions. Like Akurei said, big money saver. ;)

I have bought many overseas versions, quite a few japan versions, and 1 korean versions. All three are quite good, esp the kor and japanese versions. But *sometimes* the os versions happy cheap printing paper...lol
a lot of os versions are out of stock, so iam forced to buy jp versions sometimes..

I like OS Versions. I've bought many OS releases and I've never complained. Plus you get the extras even after the Japan versions are sold out.

i try to buy Japan versions so i can support the artist...but i usually dont have the money....so i get overseas...but i hate having them...cuz they look weird beside Japan version stuff. but since ive started using cdjapan, ive gotten used to Japan version prices. so all in all, i dont like overseas much, because they look weird with the AVTCD instead of AVCD on the obi*well avex stuff does..*,they're usually out of stock, and they dont count towards sales.

micster 11th March 2006 06:28 PM

all my stuff is overseas [or] korean versions. Why get something more expensive when you can get the same thing for cheaper

sxesven 11th March 2006 06:51 PM

They're good. There's not one good reason for buying Japan versions rather than Overseas version.

devilayu 11th March 2006 06:59 PM

^ I agree with you. If I see the Japanese version, I'll buy it, but if I'm in Taiwan, I'll buy the Taiwanese version. There are several kinds of OS versions but the ones I usually get are the Taiwanese ones (because I have family there) and they're almost exactly the same as the Japanese print.

I prefer Japanese versions, but i don't have any problem with buying overseas ones:innocent

Aisha_Angel 11th March 2006 10:06 PM

I don't really know the difference between the HongKong-Taiwanese-Overseas-Korean versions...but if it's got an extra in it; I'm buying it!! ^^;

greggerz189 11th March 2006 10:51 PM

The only overseas versions I buy are the Korean ones because they tend to keep the OBI in its original Japanese print, but for Hong Kong and Taiwan, they're spelled in chinese kanji. I've noticed it with lots of Ayu Hong Kong/Taiwan CDs.

the japanese version are so expensive! os version are cheaper :)
