Songs only found on singles?
 

Is there any other song than TEENS that are found on the single? Well that and Two of Us and umm...yeahh that...?

umm i guess Ladies Night ~another night~ could be one...and uhh...Endless Sorrow could be another...i cant think of any others.

theme of a-nation '03 is another one, and I think perhaps ever free, and according to ayumi.primenova.com - LOVE ~destiny~ (found in 'LOVE~Destiny~' single) & LOVE ~since1999~ (found in 'LOVE~Destiny~' single).

I think the album LOVEppears only contained LOVE~refrain~..
Anyways, I don't think some of the other songs like teens and Ladies Night can count since they're remixes/rearrangements..

teens ~> only on Startin Single
theme of a-nation 03 ~> only on & Single
ever free ~> only on vogue Single
Two of us ~> only on Depend on You Single
LOVE ~since 1999~ ~> only on LOVE ~destiny~ Single

As for the others you mentioned
Endless Sorrow ~> is on I am... Album
LOVE ~destiny~ ~> is on A Best Album

i have to add up, Endless Sorrow "gone with the wind ver." is found in I am... album but the "original mix" is only found in the single, but still i think Endless Sorrow "original mix" is not one of those songs that only found on singles, it can also be counted as one, depends on which theory you want to look at. here is some points.

i don't think Ladies Night ~another night~ as one of them as u can see some remixes and rearrangements in singles and not compiled in the album. for an example, Daybreak "HAL's MIX 2002", it has an original version in the album I am... therefore i don't count it as those songs that only found in singles. it is just some of a remix/rearrangement version. my point is there is an original version exist in the album, while the Endless sorrow in the album I am... is not the original version, as noted, its only in the single. some few example are like Fly high "HAL's MIX 2000", HANABI ~episode II~ "HAL's MIX 2003",

so it depends on how you look at it for endless sorrow's case. you might say it is a song only found in single as the original mix was never compiled in any album. you can also say it is not as it has a version which is compiled with a different arrangement in I am... album.

as for teens, it could be counted as the songs only found on singles as it is not originally by ayu, and there is no other or original version sang by ayu (except with the trf one in their album) in any album. this is different from my ladies night ~another night~ and daybreak "hal's mix 2002" concept.

as for LOVE ~Destiny~, it is compiled in A BEST, so its not counted as songs only found on singles.

how about a song is born? its also found in I am... album but the duet version is only on the single i think. maybe also on the song of a-nation compilation album which i'm not sure.

now lets see WHATEVER "version J", is it counted as songs only found in singles or not? well to me its not. how about you guys about my opnion? just my 20cents~ :D

I would agree with both version M and J being single only tracks as their arrangements are different.

As with Endless Sorrow. Arrangements are like half the song! :P LOVE ~refrain~ is a rearragement of LOVE~destiny~ (rearrangements count lyric altering aswell). So why not any of the others?

What defines a re-arrangement, is the composition the same but lyrics and/or instrumentals can be changed?

That's a good list, I don't count remixes, but I do count originals like Endless Sorrow, which single is that one on? That's just my preference, something like LADIES NIGHT ANOTHER NIGHT, nah.

^Vocal tracks are with the vocals only, no instrumentation, only her voice. They are really beautiful :).

^It depends on how you view it. They certainly only appear on the single and not on an album, which is what this topic is about. As for if they are b-sides, an original song which appear only on a single and not on an album, the answer is no.

What exactly are "a-sides" and "b-sides"?

^I don't know the exact definition that they have in Japan, I belive it varies from country to country, like the definition of what a MAXI single is.

Broadly I think it is like this: an a-side is featured on both an album and a single while the b-side is only featured on a single.

ah...people were always saying it and I felt stupid cause I had no idea what they were talking about...I thought it had something to do with the 2 sides of a casette tape..thanks though.
