AHS clogging down
 

Between 03-04am (CET or GMT+2) I've experianced a severe slowdown on the forums, I thought I should notice you about it. Delete this thread if it's unnessecary, maybe I should have PMed someone instead.

It's still very slow but now I'm off to bed so I can't say for how long it'll stay slow. (every page takes 30+ sec to load).

its not going any slower for me lol

pages take minutes for me...so no difference. it does go kinda slow...at certain parts of the day...but it might be cuz there's alot of people on at this time.

The slow-ness just disappeared, it might have been because of my own Internet, but I doubt that because everything except AHS ran smoothly.

BTW, didn't they just upload to a new server? So shoudn't everything be running faster?

Yes, and to me everything has been running faster since the server change, it's been wonderful. But today I experianced my first slow-down since the server change, it happened quite often before.

i retract my statement above...pages no longer take minutes...well...this one only took maybe a minute....the longer threads are a different story.

i don't know...maybe it was...bed bugs...chewing on something...

I heard of this before. I'm not sure if it's correct or not, but it might be because more members are on today?

Yesterday, between 11AM and 1PM (EST -5:00 timezone), I has been experiencing a slowdown on AHS, but I thought it might have been because of the rain. (We had a little rain and some thunder =/)

But at the time, when I finally got access, there were less than 25 members online. I guess it wasn't just me..

Unless the reason to it being only 25 members was due to the server slowing down so everyone left the forum to wait untill the server stopped acting up :P.

No clue, I wouldn't think so. You should contact your ISP about it and ask if they take measures during heavy rain or something.

I had a severe slowdown yesterday again (sorry, never checked the time), it's not a complaing it's purely to inform.

^ The same happened to me.. When I would click on "?? new posts" it would take a while before everything loaded and finally, it never did and I got firefox errors..

It was in the afternoon, but not sure when :/

^Afternoon for you is early morning (midnight) for me :D. But that's around the time when I think it happened to me.

*test* I've been unable to post for a while due to the AHS board not responding, everything else works fine though.

edit: it took some time (minute+) but it posted in the end, I'm having bigger problems with creating threads.

edit2: okay, browsing works fine without delay, but posting is more or less impossible. [started 10:45 AM, CET]

A lot of people says that the server changed and it is faster... But for me, it's faster yet I suffer often slow-downs... I think among all members here, I suffered the most :D

^It really is faster to me, and I get way less slowdowns than I got before the server change, I love the performance of the AHS boards, it's fast and I have nothing to complain on.

The slowdown today occurred between 10:45AM and 11:30AM CET. Everything worked fine except for posting/making threads.
