The Official Kuraki Mai Thread

I was a little disappointed to see that there was no official thread for her, so I decided to create one.

I've been a fan of hers since her debut, although I haven't followed her as closely as other artists. I have to say, some of her recent singles haven't impressed me too much, but her new album comes out August 2nd and I am looking forward to it.

Right now, my favorite song of hers that I listen to quite frequently is "Secret of my heart."

I was wondering why she didn't have a thread too... I'm looking forward to her new album as well.

I love "Secret of my heart"! It's my all-time favorite song by her.

Yay! Thanks KF for caring about her! Til now, I didn't realize it was one for her. I'll admit that I've never listened to her songs but I like her because, well, she beautiful. lol It's funny though that when she was younger (like 16) she and Hikki looked just alike. XD Now that she has a new single (?) I hope to hear it soon.

Btw, can anyone recommend me some of her songs? I liked like to start listening to her as soon as possible!

She's had a LOT of high-selling singles, especially when she was younger.

My favorite songs by her are probably "Love, Day After Tomorrow," and "Secret of my heart." I love all her songs though. =]

Yea, I read and heard! lol She had the highest album of the new millenium (2000) but it's hard to believe her albums are selling of what it should sale (ie on Hikki level!). I hope that gets some more popularity to get those sales up up up! Woot! Mai!

Hehe I agree! I am surprised her sales are so low, but as long as she keeps putting out good singles and albums, then all is well! =] Glad you like her!!!

'Silent love ~open my heart~' is quite good. Nice song to just sit back and think to. :]

I'm not too fond of the album title but I'm really looking forward to it^^ and Silent Love is REALLY beautiful!!

Silent Love/BE WITH U debuted at #5 today. Go Mai! Surely another top 10 hit (possibly top 5 if she can hold her position for 3-4 days maybe!)

^ The single itself is okay, I haven't heard BE WITH U though. And this had better not-not be a top ten hit. It'll totally ruin Mai's record of "Most top tens in a row since her debut", and that record's as important to me as Ayu's #1 streak. :P
