[2006] Anyone ever try to learn to sing Ayu`s songs?

I`ve been learning how to sing STEP You and Real me. I listen to those songs frequently and I can sing most of the chorus and I know some lines from each verse. I also know some lines from My Name`s WOMAN, BLUE BIRD and Ladies Night.

i know Depend on you and Duty but i dont try to sing them lol

Nope :) unless you wanna learn Japanese and stuff then sure, but I don't really care for learning the language (at least not yet), so right now, translations of ayu songs (and other artists) just matter.

Some time long ago I wanted to learn evolution, practiced 2 or 3 times, then I lost interest :D.

Ayu_Fan_00 4th August 2006 11:20 PM

Actually, since STEP You and Real me are the songs I listen to the most, I just happened to start picking up lines from both songs. Then I started to teach myself the lyrics. LOL

immel 4th August 2006 11:22 PM

I've been picking up lines out of the songs aswell, I definately know at least a few lines from all of her songs, I belive... heh.

I Can Sing Quite a Few of Ayu's Songs, and For Some reason I Find it Really Easy to Remember Most of the Lyrics to Lots of her Different Songs.

YumeHamasaki 4th August 2006 11:41 PM

i try to memorize any song i like by her, i know i won't though, but since i love to sing, i do try to learn some of the lyrics. I also like to do karake sometimes^^. I also dance to ayu as well, lol.

emi♡ 4th August 2006 11:43 PM

yes...i am like sakura genki....i know quite a few of her songs....

alot of times i try to sing them just so i can practice singing in tune and on the right note....i need a better range....ex. it's really easy for me to sing kuu's songs....and for some wierd reason...utada's...

only in ayu's songs do I feel like i need a better range.

i find it's easier for me to sing in japanese than english...

Diana 4th August 2006 11:43 PM

Erm.. It`s not like I brag or anything.. but I know lyrics of (miss)understood, BLUE BIRD single, Memorial address, MY STORy, half of I am... and Duty, RAINBOW (exepct HANABI, Dolls), some of LOVEppears...
Am I sick or what??! :yeek

Lumix 4th August 2006 11:44 PM

Yeah, Moments.. but I know a lot of other texts without any effort =D just by listening.

truehappiness 4th August 2006 11:46 PM

I just KNOW some songs. D:

I sometimes randomly start mouthing the words to fairyland ~ ;x;
"Ano umi e to tsuzuku~ michinori mujaki ni~~"

Hazuki 4th August 2006 11:47 PM

I can lip-sing them xD

Ayu_Fan_00 4th August 2006 11:51 PM

hahahaha. me too. I`m better at lip synching her songs then actually singing them. I sound weird singing in Japanese anyway and I don`t even know if I`m pronouncing it right. LOL. I`m still learning though. I definetly know some of the lyrics to STEP You and Real me as well as the pronounciation.

hopeorpain 5th August 2006 12:10 AM

I can sing the chorus of every song after the a song for xx era :D I don't learn them deliberately but I listen to Ayu so much it just sticks with me. nad sometimes reading the roomaji helps too.

xiaou-xijiang 5th August 2006 12:12 AM

I love singing to them. I screw up the words badly sometimes, but with the songs I listen to a lot I get more familiar with them so it seems like I'm actually singing japanese and not random gibberish :D. no more words is easy, moments, Happy Ending.
*note just because I attempt singing it, I am in no way impling that I am singing well :laugh lets just say I make sure no one is in the house and I'm eternally grateful my walls are thick. ;)

Ayu_Fan_00 5th August 2006 12:14 AM

LOL. Xiaou-xijiang. ur funny. I would say I`m a pretty good singer though I wouldn`t take it up as a career. And yes reading the Romanji helps me too hopeorpain :)

hopeorpain 5th August 2006 12:16 AM

yeah I'm embarassed to sing in front of people ^^

xiaou-xijiang 5th August 2006 12:19 AM

just a few days ago when I was supposed to be writing my 6 essays for AP Lit I was on primenova looking at the romanji for the song that happened to be playing on my itunes and sing, proudly but sadly horribly loud. :D I haven't sung infront of anybody for so long that when I want to sing (even alone, its really weird for me!) I usually end up lip synching, except on special days like the one stated above.

Ayu_Fan_00 5th August 2006 12:19 AM

I actually don`t mind singing in front of people. I don`t have that good of a voice myself but I`m more self consicious about dancing. I`m more embarrased to dance in front of people. I love dancing more than singing but I can`t dance. I love to dance when I`m home alone. LOL
