What clothes brands does Ayu use?
 

So yeah, do you know what clothes brands she uses? And do you like them?

Many of ther clothes look like they've been specially designed for her (like those with "A" symbol) but there are also many which are some real brands. I've seen "MTRLG" in some of her clothes... I believe it means "Material Girl", right? Then I've seen a couple of t-shirts which say "CD" in them though I don't know what brand it is. So I thought I'd be cool to know!

Unfortunately I don't have the money to buy brands myself but I've noticed that many of her clothes look really pretty (and actually I made my own "A" symbol t-shirt just a while ago!). So what do you think? And do you know other brands she uses?

CD is in general CHristian Dior, I don't know about that t-shirt though. She also uses a LOT of Louis Vuitton. And there was a thread on the BLUE BIRD dress, but I fail to remember the name of the brand.

Oh! I totally forgot! Ayu also tends to wear brands like:

Von Dutch and Bathing Ape (BAPE). I personally think BAPE is overrated but I like the signature shirts and hats that Von Dutch comes out with.

You're basically looking at any high end designer fashions as far as Ayumi's formal-wear goes. That includes and is not limited to Dior, Chanel, Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Versace, Burberry, D&G, and any other brand that you'd see on Fifth Avenue and Rodeo Drive. For daily wear, you're looking at the mid-cost brands such as Guess by Marciano, BAPE, MTRL, 88 Tees, Diesel, etc. Keep in mind that since she is such a big star in Japan, she gets discounts at major department stores and brand flagship stores because she is walking advertisement if she wears their clothing.

I refuse to believe that she wears Guess untill I see it. :puke

Casually I think she'd wear anything, as long as she thinks it looks good.

For photoshoots the clothing is probably arranged for her, unless it's a shoot where she decides about clothing and all that herself. I think she does for quite many of her shoots, from what I understand she seem to be in control over them. If you wonder what she is wearing for certain photoshoots it most often says in the magazine what brands she is wearing, it's often made clear for promotion reasons.

FOr those fashion shoots in the magazines (when she shows off the clothes, rather than having pictures of her own clothes) I doubt whether she even gets the clothes. It's more like a CM shot in which she acts like a model, showing off the clothes.

I would guess she also wears some japanese brands.

If you read the parts about the clothes, Ayumi does actually bring her own clothes and accessories to shoots sometimes. She does it more often now than she did in the past.

It makes me wonder about what Ayu's closet looks like.
Hell, she's probably got so many clothes she just uses it one day and donates it to charity and/or good will the next. She won't need a closet! :P (kidding.)

Maybe she uses an apartment or even a house as a closet. xD

I thought Ayu did wear some of the things she had worn before...
For example, there was a thread about her wearing the same shoes from Step You in one of the [Miss]Understood booklets.
But usually, if you look carefully from earlier photoshoots, etc., that she does wear her clothes more than once.

I love that she doesn't stick to any brand, gives us such a wide variety of literally everything, she doesn't endorse any special clothing label, like some other stars do, which I think can be really boring unless that label has a wide variety of styles. She switches often, but too often? Nooo never :D.

I know Louis Vuitton is her favorite brand. She has Louis Vuitton everything! (clothes, luggage, purses, diary) and she is in love with the those big Dior glasses. :P

She sure has a preference for Dior when it comes to glassess, at least recently, haha.

I don't know hat Louis Vuitton clothes look like, nor do I know what their logo looks like so I never took note of it :-O

You should also visit the wiki page on Louis Vuitton. Japan has in many ways been and is very important to the traditional brnad. Japanese arts inspired the monogram (during the late 19th century in europe japanese pictures and arts were very fashioable), and presently about 50% of the brand's income is generated in Japan making it the biggest market for Louis Vuitton in the world, outnumbering places like the US and Europe by far.

I'm not that much into fashion, especially not the more expensive labels, what clothes I can't afford I try not to look at :D...
