Was there countdown 2003-2004?

I was searching for which concert dvds I didnt have yet and I couldnt find 2003-2004 countdown....was there not one? and why?

explodingbird 15th October 2006 09:24 AM

The years 2003 and 2004 never even happened. It's all a ruse.

SunshineSlayer 15th October 2006 09:25 AM

Yes, there was one but it was considered as part of the 03-04 tour and wasn't released seperately. (w/ a few exceptions it had the same set list, set, and costumes as the arena tour.)

The CDL portion was aired during CDTV or something.

But there definitely was no DVD because at the time, I guess they didn't think about releasing the footage along with AT03-04.

[dumb decision <3]

immel 15th October 2006 04:45 PM

I don't see the point of why avex never made a CDL DVD, it would have sold regardless, heh.

truehappiness 16th October 2006 08:46 AM

Because it wouldn't have made sense.

If it was the exact same thing as AT03-04 except like a 20 minute segment..

Not marketable x.x

thinkingoutloud89 16th October 2006 09:19 AM

its true...it just had 4 songs xD

People would have bought it anyway, in their ignorance, I'm pretty sure. If they would have called the tour AT04 people wouldn't have thought about that the CDL was the same show.

truehappiness 16th October 2006 11:00 AM

Hm?

People aren't that ignorant. Honestly, an extra on the DVD with the 20 minutes of CDL footage would've sufficed.

For some reason A MUSEUM sold a ton more than the AT03-04 DVD too..
90k vs. like 70k..

immel 16th October 2006 11:30 AM

A museum was something special, very special.

I believe more people attended the A museum tour, too? So more people would want to buy it to remember.

truehappiness 16th October 2006 11:33 AM

I think less people attended it. O_O~

It was like 8 concerts long.
I wonder if Ayu's concert sales were really high in 2001 and on, and have dropped recently..

immel 16th October 2006 11:57 AM

Seems they went up in 2006 then. AT06 being her largest tour it should sell the most copies, because the most people are interested in having a copy of their own as a memory.

If it doesn't, then that's proof her sales is declining pretty much.

CDL0506 sold so good though.

truehappiness 16th October 2006 12:01 PM

Well, it's not so much 'proof' since her DVD sales are never too high because she has so many goddang shows for people to go to. That and, maybe most fans think that seeing it once is enough. :) Other artists seem to have higher sales due to maybe a lack of concerts or something.. I dunno.

immel 16th October 2006 12:06 PM

Wrong word, but at least then we can see if the trend follows thorugh more than only her recent single/album releases.

truehappiness 16th October 2006 12:07 PM

Well, the CDL05-06 was in the top 50 for about half a year [23 weeks] before dying out..

From ORICON:
COMPLETE LIVE BOX A's last recorded sales: 72,826
A CLIPS 2 sales: 89,531
COMPLETE CLIP BOX's sales: 64,323
A MUSEUM's last sales: 100,017
AT03-04's last recorded sales: 69,829 <--stopped being counted.. probably sold more
CDL04-05's last recorded sales: 65,546
AT05's last recorded sales: 86,887
CDL05-06's last recorded sales: 57,405

:O

immel 16th October 2006 02:14 PM

CDL0506's sales was pretty low then ... and A MUSEUM was just crazy :O.

Well, let's see if AT06 makes it somewhere near AT05, that'd be immense.

SunshineSlayer 17th October 2006 11:51 AM

Of course sales of concert dvds will go down. The more an artist has, typically the less it is going to sell because people have already bought a dvd from that artist before. Typically the first few are always the highest selling and then it goes down from there.
