Ayupan 001 [Is this real?]

Today I received in the mail the ayupan 001 I bid on at ebay from this seller.

However, when I look at it...on the feet it says "(c) axev"

It does not look handmade...It is about 1 3/4" and when I check here on eneabba, it looks very accurate.

I would like to say that this is only manufacturing mistake...but although, compared with pictures, I do not want to jump to conclusions...though it is very difficult for avex to mess up like that?

I e-mail the seller to ask and they respond with:

Spoiler:
Hi there,
Thanks for your question. I am positive that this is not a fake since I bought it directly from avex. I have seen these kinds of mistakes before. Unfortunately, avex is not really known for quality. I see stuff like all the letters cut in half or the last letter missing on ayupans that I remove from the original avex packaging bought from avex's online or real world shops. So please don't worry about it. All the ayupans I sell are real, I make sure of that. I wish avex would raise their quality standards. Anyway, if you have any other questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
josi

Is he/she telling the truth or is this product fake?

Thank you for any responses

This product is geniune; I think I heard from others before that Avex intentionally spells it like that for security purposes? :shrug Anyway, I own several geniune Ayupan (ones that I purchased at the Tour Goods Stands), and they came with the "axev" marking on the shoe as well.

Hope this helps.

Axev is the name of the production company branch of Avex or something like that. So yes, they're real.

I thought the same when I got my first Ayupan and it said "axev" - but yeah, axev is avex's production company. They produce a lot of stuff for lots of avex artists.

Yeah I remember looking at Ayu's lyrics booklets and laughing when I thought they mispelled Avex xD
