CDL 0607 Question
 

I have a question. Were the similarites between this years preformance and her other tours because this is a

BEST OF CDL?

I was wondering, (I was watching it yesterday and thinking: this is exactly like AT 02, AT 0304, and AT 05) do you think this could be why its named BEST OF CDL 0607?

so what do you think? lots of people were disappointed with the concert for this reason, but if it really was just a compliation of her BEST then it takes a new meaning, don't ya think?

initially, i thought that it was a dumb idea cos ayu was jus recycling all her old performances. she need not think of any new tricks to surprise us.

but after i watched the performances, it was surprisingly good. the slight modifications each performance were enough to wow me. i think ayu selected several of her BEST performances from all her concerts and put it up to BEST of CDL 0607!! :D and its not that bad right?

^that's what I was thinking. It didn't really hit me until after I had watched it and then AT 02.

It was known since before the release that this concert was made to imitate several of her older tours, I remember it was discussed a lot, I think after SunshineSlayer posted her review of it. The "BEST of" name is because it's supposed to promote the A BEST albums, she sang an extra high amount of her older songs. I don't think that the fact that she chose to recreate the atmosphere of her past tours during this CDL effected the choice of name.

I actually prefered AT 2002. Well, after ASFXX. Thats when her voice seemed to strengthen. :shrug

Considering I didn't see anything besides the BEST of CDL, it was a totally new experience for me. I really liked it, and I thought that this was an overall great concert. I guess it did work though, the fact that they are old performances revamped, and it does kind of motivate you to get the CD.

I think people wondered why is it BEST of CDL instead of BEST of ARENA TOUR (which I think SunshineSlayer also suggested), and to me it's simply becouse "BEST of" doesn't refer to the "CDL" part, but is used more as a description, as in "BEST OF kind of CDL", which would explain why it has arena tour performances instead of CDL performances (which on the other hand would be hard to revamp, I think).
