Why wasn't RAINBOW on RAINBOW?
 

This really puzzles me...what's the point of having an album's title track NOT be on the album? I'm so used to each album having a title track, going through RAINBOW without the actual song also seems a bit awkward.

If i remember rightly Rainbow (song) wasn't actually finished in time for Rainbow (album). I might be wrong though since it's been a while ><

well, it sorta was, but there were no lyrics. people who bought rainbow had a password to unlick the special insturmental, and whoever wrote the best lyrics would have their lyrics sung in the song.

Ecxept Ayumi got about 10,000 entries. She ended reading everyone and writing her own lyrics based on everyones throughts and opinions.

"I can't just read some ... Having 10,000 different entires means having 10,000 different and unique ideas and thoughs" or something like that.

Damn, she read all 10,000? I don't think i'd ever do that, lol. At least RAINBOW wound up being an awesome song.

On the first press of the RAINBOW album, there was a track labeled 00 on the casting. The rest is exactly as sora2522 described.

I actually sent in an entry, LOL!!! And Rainbow reflects what I'd written at that time (I guess lots of people felt the same way I did upon listening to the few seconds we had of Rainbow--instrumental).

Well, it was one cool marketing scheme. lol

Not really successful since only 10,000 participated while 1.7-1.8 million purchased it.. lol

But why they put it as a track >_> It's weird if it wasn't...
By the way RAINBOW was included in RAINBOW DVD Audio :)
