Free & Easy PV question
 

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I just watched the PV again from my A-BEST2 BLACK DVD and I was somewhat puzzled and shocked at the same time! From the first few scenes it looks like Ayu's in a mental institution or something, then there's this random scene where two guys were working on this wooden thing, then as the song and PV progresses I was horrified to find out that it was a coffin! Then some people fetched Ayu from her room then took her somewhere else, then on the closing scene there was a crowd carrying that coffin!

So what's with the coffin? And what's really going on in there? Can someone interpret this PV for me? Thanks for the information! :D

EXTRA - I find that coffin thing disturbing... :tired

If i'm correct wasn't the Free & Easy theme about Joan of Arc?

yea, that's what i heard...
though i don't really see the pv's take on joan of arc...

I still don't get it though, the people took Ayu somewhere, then in the end there's this funeral-like march with the people carrying the "finished" coffin. What's this got to do with Ayu?

If it's supposed to be Joanne of Arc then she was burned to death. Ayu's dead in the PV. That's why the coffin.

Hence Ayu on the stake and the look of 'burning' around her.

Oh, so she's not in a mental institution... she was in a prison! Then she was sentenced to death! I see it now... yeah I remembered she was singing in this scene while tied onto a wooden post... aw that's sad...

But the coffin thing still freaks me out...

And i thought i was the only one who thought of that scene as 'ayu burning on a stake'... when i told my friends - look ayu's like burning here they said i'm nuts :P

how old are you? If you are freaked by such innocent thing as a coffin?

I think the Free & Easy pv was one of the best for storylines.

If not THE best.

It's not actuallty the coffin that freaks me out, I don't know, something about it gave me goosebumps. Maybe because I just didn't guessed what the men were working on, they put varnish and jewels and stuff, and I had no idea it was a coffin. Anyway... thanks for all those information. I guess I should watch all her PV's again and I might discover something new or interesting xD

oh, so THAT's the joan of arc theme...
funny, cuz i noticed the 'stake and the burning'...never put 1 and 1 together XP

Personally, I think they should've used a brighter shade of red for the burning scene.

I was like "Huh, why is Ayu surrounded in maroon? D:"

I guess it's all just for the lyrics
cuz...well, it's about support that will be everywhere
so...

Why couldn't this thread be made a week or two ago, so that I could at least be distracted by something in my world history class? :laugh

For a second, I thought you were getting your PV's crossed as in the "Voyage" PV, some scenes have her in a mental institution.
