Anyone here listen to Trance music?
Hey Forumers,
I just wanted to know how many of you all listen to trance music and if you do who your top artists and groups are? Here are my Top 3, and all are from the Netherlands (No one makes trance like the Dutch): 1. Armin Van Buuren 2. Ferry Corsten 3. DJ Tiësto Post up up your top 3 so we can compare. |
OMG, Anyone?

I'm really into cheesy trance, ha ha. But I also like that "spacey, send-chills-down-your-spine" type of trance that Armin does and so many others. I don't listen to it much but it is my favorite. Usually best to listen to at night and the songs are really long which I like sometimes but when I want to listen to happy songs during the daytime so it's usually that Hi-NRG trance.

GAL TRANCE. <3
i don't really like any particular artist. |
I listen to Trance all the time but I don't have a particular artist. If it sounds good and I am in the mood I will listen to it. I'm gonna check out some of those artists you said. I have heard of DJ Tiësto. I have a cd with him on it.

I used to be really into trance, stuff like Vincent De Moor, Above&Beoynd & P.U.S.H. I've never been much into Ferry's music myself. but these days I only like cheesy upbeat trance when it comes to trance. I'm more into house & other types of eletronic music a the moment rather than trance. the main reason my interest in trance is so vanished is that I've never heard anything that could top the Ayu, ELT or Globe trance remix albums :yes |

german trance/dance like Cascada & Groove Coverage & everything from the Avex label Super Best Trance: like Overhead Champion & 4skips & etc. and producers like Rob Mayth & Rocco
mostly like fast & really upbeat trance with catchy vocals is what I consider "cheesy trance" :P |

Well, Personally I prefer Dutch Trance, and the other thing is they produce their own stuff. :P Although some German stuff like Paul Van Dyk is quite good :) |

Seems like no one here has ever heard of "Ace Da Brain" (aka Ace's Delight & Pervading Call), imho the best producer germany has to offer... Try to listen to his Songs like "Trinity (Aerial Mix) or something harder like "Depths of Doom". Ace is practically unknown, but he surely beats commercial dance artists like Paul Van Dyk easily (compared to Ace, PVD is nothing more than commercial radio music).
Another good group are "Alphazone", which makes fast-paced, hard and yet very melodic "Energy-Trance". Thus, there are of course no cheesy vocals. Simply bangin' stuff http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/mu...smiley-001.gif. Beside these two, I can't recall any artist, which would've been worth buying his records this year, so far, this was no good year for me yet... My third fave would've been "Kai Tracid", but he suddenly stopped producing good music and went on to produce "Minimal" (simply cheap sounding stuff without much melodies) from now on... :irked And to be put short, artists like "Cascada" and "Groove Coverage" and "Rocco" etc. are NO TRANCE!!! They're simply producing some La la la-crap to gain lots of money (which seems to work very well, though). |
