The REAL composer of Together When... revealed!

Yeah, he posted in his blog.

From Duty fame, it's...
Kunio Tago!

He previously composed Key ~eternal tie ver.~ and SCAR on Duty. I never expected him to return. I guess Ayu approached him or w/e. His stuff is so good! :D

So he did work with her a LONG time ago, and was a suspect... [Duty was released close to the beginning of his career at avex, 9.27.2000] Too bad I totally wrote him off as never to work with Ayu again. That's like seven years of not working with her... perhaps she remembered that his skills are good for emotional works? I really think that Key's lyrics are some of the most touching Ayu's written. :D

I am composing the ballade of new single "Together When..." of Ayumi Hamasaki delivered on December 5. It listens by all means and impress, please. It is a masterpiece that overflows ultimately, painful, and painfully feelings and comes out. It is possible to cry only because lyrics even are read. I have been impressed and to put such a message that feelings overflow in the melody that puts feelings of.

whoah. thanks for this. cool. yay -- i had a feeling it wasn't CMJK ^_^

truehappiness 21st November 2007 01:18 PM

Well, CMJK stuff generally sounds more... tech-y. :\

Not that his stuff is bad, but it doesn't have the feel that Together When... has. :D

Zemus 21st November 2007 01:18 PM

That explains why a lot of people are comparing the song to Key ~eternal tie ver.~ :D Thx for the info.

Exactly. I love CMJK stuff, but to me it just sounds way more rock than "Together When...". "TW..." just didn't give off a CMJK feel. at all.

I posted earlier I though that Together When... sounded like Key ~enternal tie ver.~. Guess it was a valid comparision :D

SCAR is one of my favourite ayu ballads :) Its nice how she praises ayu's lyrics so much.

truehappiness 21st November 2007 01:47 PM

Kunio's a dude, btw. :D

OMG! This makes me so happy~ So that's why it sounded bit nostalgic.

This is incredible! I kept and kept saying I wanted something like "Key ~eternal tie ver.~"! I miracle happened!

I hope we'll get plenty of Kunio's work in the album. He's a genius!

freedreamer 21st November 2007 03:18 PM

its time to go back to listen to SCAR and Key now...haha
nice that Ayu went to find him for a song....its very meaningful...
maybe she will find other composers from before for her 10th anniversary as well ?

edit: i just realized the songs he made for ayu have no bridge... :(

HanabiChick 21st November 2007 03:25 PM

Thanks :) I knew CMJK didn't compose it, didn't really seem like his style. Looking forward to hearing the full version, as Duty album is one of my favourites.

Some of my favourite Ayu songs are composed by Kunio Tago, so hopefully he'll work with some materials with Ayu in her upcoming album <33

That's true. :yes That one part "Itsuka mata boku wa boku ni umarekawatte" sounds like "Dakara mou nakanakute ii yo" from "Key ~eternal tie ver.~".
Thanks for the info. I thought the composer, who hasn't composed for her since some time, might be him or someone from "A Song for XX". It would be interesting to see someone from "A Song for XX" to compose for her again...
