Thoughts on GUILTY
 

So what do all of you guys think of the new tracks in the album? (maybe it's better to combine all discussion of the new songs in one thread?)

I was really excited for the song GUILTY when I first listened to the preview of it...but after listening to the full version I didn't like it as much. I feel that (miss)understood is a better album title track than GUILTY is right now. Hopefully the song can grow on me soon though. It really reminds of me "What I've Done" by Linkin' Park...haha.

Marionette is so awesome! I like how Ayu protrays her emotion effectively in the song...and I really enjoy the arrangement. It really depicts the atmosphere of the song well. Even though the Prelude to it was composed and arranged by another, it really fits.

I think MY ALL is like the staple pop song mainstream artists have in Japan...but I still love it though. It's the song with the lalalas each album has haha.

untitled ~for her~ is a nice ballad. Nothing that stands out...but a strong song overall.

The album is very cohesive overall in terms of atmosphere and mood. The interludes really does help with this...and even without the interludes the length of the album would be about what DUTY was? I'm okay with them. I think The Judgement Day would've made a great full song though...along with Mirror. The only song I'm actually not satisfied with is (d)Lma, but the singles make up for it though. Like others said afterwards...it does seem like an average album, and it could have more experimentation with it, but it's strong in general.

The song is interesting, I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. It stands out. I'm not a huge fan of the chorus but I like the quieter bits in the middle. I don't know how often I'll listen to it, some changes would have made me like it more, but I wouldn't say it's bad.

ITS VERY COOL! a very hostile song...i dunno how to describe it...but i really really like it now...i wasnt very fond of it when the preview first came out...but now i like the way she sang it...

its just very...mysterious and cool...nice!

Marionette is dang amazing! i dun wanna spoil it for those who havent heard..coz some might just wander here to read views...
but its really different from her other ballad stuff...the guitar is great...makes me emotional

untitled ~for her~: very nice! nice closure to the entire dark album...i like the way she has incorportated orchestra + some rock into this and Marionette...

MY ALL sounds quite sadd at the lalala part actually...if Ayu sings this song live, i think she will cry...and its special coz i didnt expect the "quiet" chorus to come BEFORE the interlude

All the songs have different emotion embled inside and they all have their strong and hopeful perspectives even in Marionette the darkest song

GUILTY - the voice in the chorus is what sold it for me. The composition is also rather strange, and I like it.

Marionette - Sounds very....lamentful. Reminds me of a more mainstream criminal. Her voice sounds rather haunting in it as well. I too like the guitar.

MY ALL - To me this sounds like an edgier "Replace". Still not sure how I feel about it, but I'm sure it'll grow on me.

Untitled - I think I like the arrangement in this song more than anything else, although the composition is lovely as well. I would expect an emotional performance of this.

Overall, not too shabby. Now to get the interludes and hear the whole thing the whole way through!

Guilty is okay, it could have been better. I wonder what the special effect guy voice is saying.. in the chorus part. I only understand some parts.

For the other songs
My All sounds so much better then glitter except for the la la la part in the end.
Marionette sounds amazing!! I like the 2nd verse music backround it sounds awesome!,
Untitled ~for her~ is kind of boring. Maybe I will like it after few more listen. ( This reminds of my first reaction with secret)

Mirror - nice open song, to bad its so short
(don't) leave me alone - nice song catchy
GUILTY - beginning reminds me of a song from FFVII other than that awsome
Marionette - it reminds me of a music for a Musical which I love, since I like hearing Musicals. kind of dark but also sad song

yea i'm wondering the effect guy voice too... i heard "Guilty" and something like "i'm guilty" or around the lines... but he definitely mention "guilty"... lol...

I love MY ALL the most!!
untitled and Mationette are second to it.
And GUILTY, well, I should say it will grow on me, the arrangements are plain though.

I'm listening to the album right now.
Can I just say that The Judgement Day creeps me out so much, It makes me think of 'Silent Hill' at the start, then out of nowhere it's really pop like and upbeat xD

So far, I really love, love Mirror, (don't) leave me alone and Marionette.
I really don't like GUILTY that much, only the opening which actually gave me goosebumps.
Kinda' bores me like (miss) understood did.

It's just so... I dunno' upbeat xD

I like the album so far, is it me or Marionette -prelude- nearing the end has a little final fantasy feel to it lol. MY ALL is better than expected. untitled will grow on mi soon :)

I love the intro to GUILTY. but the whole song is kinda so so to me..

Marionnete altho sounds like another criminal, is far better and i like the whole sound to this song

I was so excited for MY ALL after the preview but the whole song didnt really sound as great. maybe cuz of the repititive chorus towards the end. but its still a good song

untitled is a great song for me. i think some people will think its boring, just like Secret. but i like the arrangement here.

DLMA i surprisingly very good LOVES IT!

I still have to fully listen to the album over and over to have a complete evaluation of the album. But I like the whole atmosphere and darkness within this album. I think it flows perfectly.

well after hearing the whole album I think glitter doesn't really fit it. I like glitter, but it doesn't fit in the album

its alright, a little better than i expected from her, however, its a bit too melodramatic for me. What happened to a little thing called fun? lmao.

MY ALL could replace Replace...but it depends on the lyric

Yea and I agree with Azmaria...glitter doesn't fit in this album

all i can say is... i hope it will grow in me...
I dunno. i just doesn't work for me.. there is no songs like momentum in secret that is 'love at first hear'...
