That really sucks :( I've been losing my hearing in one of my ears and it's such a hassle! All I hear is loud ringing, and sometimes I feel so desperate because it doesn't stop :no

she is very strong!! but anyway she will be a very good singer!! and will write many new songs!!!

She's had this since 2001, and now it's TOTALLY GONE. D:!!!!

That is so awful...I feel so bad for her. She says she's going to continue to sing and perform, even if it takes her left ear as well? A completely deaf Ayu...:cry I don't know how I feel about it all..

I mean, I kind of feel like I'd rather her just be more concerned with her health (and keep on being able to at least partly hear!) than create more music that will eventually deafen her. :no Ayu as a person is more important to me than Ayu's music.

At least she still do what she loves, singing for her fans and she does a hell of a great job, thank you ayu, you are a REAL singer.

Well, this might sort of explain why her vocals were kinda crappy for the past few months. I heard that it's hard to control the voice of your tone and pitch sometimes when your hearing weakens..

Maybe she decided to say it now because she knew she didn't perform as well as she thought at Kouhaku/CDL?
