OH MY GOD I can't believe this hasn't been created yet. What do you guys think of their new album "Seventh Tree"? It's been leaked so early that I hope it doesn't affect the sales too much. The sound is much more trip-hop like their early material and doesn't have any super uptempo songs like Supernature and Black Cherry did. It's really beautiful though, I'll share it with you guys as soon as I can get it up.

A&E is such a pretty song but I just can't keep a straight face with the dancers in the video. That's what I love about Goldfrapp.

I wonder what A&E stands for...maybe a name of a guy and a girl carved on a tree? I dunno

And yeah, the dancers were hilarious. I did find it cool how they'd camouflage in the scenario and practically disappear.

I was really excited for this new album & I was sure I'd buy it, but now I'm not so sure anymore. I'll probably wait until it hits the discount bin lol :o

sorry for the thread hijack, but I think everybody who likes Goldfrapp should check out Roisin's music. her music is the kind of music you'd wish goldfrapp would make :P

I was thinking something like that too, after all Alison does start with A.

Maybe A&E is Adam and Eve? Would make sense with the guy and a girl haha and a tree possibly.

It's such a coincidence that I run into this thread today since I totally just fell in love with "A&E" like earlier today. This maybe the first Goldfrapp album I pick up, though I'm sure I should just go ahead and get "Supernature" too.

Anyway, I think I'll give this a listen, like NOW, since I actually bought Supernature, which must mean something. :O

It doesn't beat Ride On A White Horse. :P

Love strict Machine. haven't listened to her in a while though.

I'm downloading the album now (Thanks Vinylfantasy) but I've heard A & E on the radio and was slightly dissapointed. I disliked the first album but Black Cherry was awesome. Supernatural was Great aswell but from A & E it seems they/she (Which is it) have gone full circle back to the dreamy ... well ... boringness of Felt Mountain.
Will update after a listen to the full thing.

The A&E mixes have leaked and they rock! The Gui Borrato ones are my favorites.

Why did it take me so long to notice this thread?

Goldfrapp is my favorite band of all time --- I practically worship everything they've ever released. I didn't think there were many other people here that liked them!

Haha, I'm such a fool. A&E was the Fresh song for MTV Estonia last week and I was watching the video halfway and judging by the sound and the fact that I just saw her on the cover of a respected newspaper, I thought it was Roisin Murphy. :( When "Roisin" said "A&E" it was just too weird and there I was cussing myself for not recognizing my dearest Goldfrapp. That said, I didn't have much chance to notice the song, but from what I heard, it wasn't bad at all.

A&E means accident and emergency =)
