I am... Initial Photoshoot??

Ok, we all know that I am... photoshooot isn't the "real one". In fact, as Ayu said, the first photoshoot was completely different, but with the Twin Towers Attack of 9/11, she wanted to give I am... a message of peace, and they re-did a new photoshoot, the one we actually know, desert/plant/bird.

So I'm just wondering if someone knows if the original photoshoot was used in a magazine or something else, or simply was never published.

And the image on the album cover. The white dove—a symbol of peace.
I had a completely different idea for the cover at first. We'd already reserved the space, decided the hair and makeup and everything. But after the incident, as is typical of me, I suddenly changed my mind. I knew it wasn't the time for gaudiness, for elaborate sets and costumes. It sounds odd coming from me, but I realize what I say and how I look has a great impact.

from the TIMEasia.com interview
This kinda indicates that her first idea was completely different from the "I am..." cover and booklet. I think the actual photoshooting (with her first concept) might haven't been done until then. But maybe ayu carried the idea over for some other cover/booklet?

Yeah, I also would like to know for a fact what happened with the original photoshoot or if it even existed at all.

As I recall, I read somewhere that all information (including pictures) regarding the initial "I am..." photos are completely unknown. I could be wrong, though. :shrug

It gets me thinking, too! ;)

The stuff we'll never know, kinda like all the scrapped compositions (there obviously has to be many).
