"Kingdom" tops the World Charts -
 

Although many of you guys already know this, and it was probably said in her official thread, Koda Kumi's newest studio album, "Kingdom", has topped the United World Charts!

I posted this because i doubt everyone actually will go into her official thread, and plus ... It's the world charts! and Kumi topped 'em again. <3

Japanese albums often get the top spot on world charts. I believe that after the US, Japan sells the most CDs at the moment (and has the highest download rate).

Still, yay Kingdom! Even though it wasn't that good. =x

japan music industry is number 2 after US...so its natural to japanese artist being on the charts...thanks for the info anyway, i forget to check it by myself

It's not the greatest thing that it was "Kingdom" that topped the world charts and not "GUILTY" but it's a good thing to Japan in general. It shows the world they have quality and loyal supportive fans.

well considering how the competition is very fierce these days its quite an accomplishment for her to reach #1 on the world charts. congrats to her

good for her I say despite what has happened so hopefully this piece of news will console her in more ways than other .

both a best 2 also top chart `1 and 2..

but when there is US artist debut in that week, i'm sure that japanese artist cant get #1

I think they can.

It seems like American artists have low but still very consistent sales for a very long time (Think "ALL SINGLES BEST" by Kobukuro), while typically it seems that Japanese albums get a majority of their sales in their first week.

Like Jeez, there are some really old albums on the world Charts, while every week you may see a new Japanese artist, while the old ones fall quickly.
