Question about my "A BALLADS" CD
I bought my "A BALLADS" CD at an anime convention last year. The artwork of the actual CD looks like the cover of my CD case rather than the overseas or Japan version:

ALCP-XXXX..
That's an indicator that your copy is 100% bootleg... aka made by some third party. D; http://www.manga-shop.eu/Ayumi-Hamas...1/language/en/ They sell them here. D; |
ouch, th got to it first. But yeah, its somethin' fishy. Its a shame you can't talk to the vendor about it and get your money back. D:
|
Looks like a bootleg too, it's almost screaming it.
|
Dont be sad. I got one too. Give it away as a gift to someone who knows nothing about Ayumi. They won't know, plus they will love her.
xoxo -(miss)understood |
pure......bootleg. I get so mad if I mistakenly buy a bootleg version
|
you're so unlucky...

So from now on, I stare at the pictures of the real ones online, so when I go shopping I don't get caught anymore @_@;; |
Yeah, I have a bootleg too :weep
It happened to me when I bought RAINBOW CD on Amazon a few years ago. I didn't know it was bootleg until 2 years later LOL |
i've purchased a couple of bootlegs over the years, mostly when i was a new fan and didn't know what to look out for. now i almost never purchase from anywhere other than yesasia and cdjapan.
although, on occasion i've bought a bootleg on purpose, lol. |
Aw, that's such a shame.
So... Hm. Well, I'm not upset that I own a bootleg. (...should I be? :confused) Personally, I'm just happy to have the songs in my possession, you know? ...Or does it not count because it's basically like someone giving me the MP3's of each song, burning them onto a CD, and then pasting pictures everywhere? You know? |
Depends on how much you paid for it. Anime Conventions tend to sell bootlegs for full price too *sigh*.

I wanted to buy some things from there but they don't allow me to which's so stupid . |
I never buy bootlegs of CDs and recent DVDs, but I would if the DVDs are older than MY STORY, because I usually have a hard time trying to find it. I couldn't find AT2005, but when I found the bootleg, i snatched it up cause it was all I could find locally.
Honestly, since I'm assuming you couldn't tell, it's not your fault. And you shouldn't be mad or disappointed. I agree with you; you have it in your possession, and you bought what you thought was the right thing. It's not like you vagrantly went to buy the bootleg. |

Yeah, they usually have the (m)u tour. They have Concert Tour 2001 (both ed.) too, but 40 dollars each is a little too much for now. :) |
it is bootleg as said by other.
Here is a tip for notice bootleg: Open the CD Case and look at the top left corner, and bottom right corner. Usualy there is an slight indented rectangle int he plastic that says "compact disc". On ayu's it will have the AVEX TRAX logo in there. The OS version does NOT have this - but this is the way to tell if its JP Press original. |
Well BEFORE you buy a potential bootleg, one of the more obvious ways is to simply check the tracklist. Bootleg companies tend to include as many songs on the CD as possible in addition to the original songs included with the respective album.
Also, examine the artwork. I found that the artwork on bootlegs tend to be less crisp. |
