I posted this thread here just to be safe.

Since all of my Ayu merchandise were bootlegs (which is so depressing) and I'm most likely gonna get all of my money back, I'm thinking about starting all over again. What I'm going to do differently is NOT purchase anything from eBay and purchase her albums from CDJapan or YesAsia instead. I need your guys opinions because a lot of you seem like hardcore Ayu fans. Which site should I buy from? Oh, and I would like to start purchasing her merchandise in chronological order, starting from RAINBOW.

When I get my money back, this is what I want:

• RAINBOW album
• Memorial address album*
• MY STORY album
• (miss)understood album
• Secret album
• ARENA TOUR 2005 DVD
• ARENA TOUR 2006 DVD
• ASIA TOUR 2007 DVD*

* = Maybe

That's a lot of money, right?

Oh, and if you want, tell me some must-have merchandise!

You have to get those DVDs. I think those are all good choices though. Do you buy singles? Because .... you should have the "fairyland" single lol. <3

I've never bought a single. "fairyland" is one of my favorite songs. The "STEP you" remix is awesome!

Wait, how much are you getting back? Have you calculated the prices for these products? If you have enough, get them all at once lol. If there's any Ayu single that you love to death (artwork, PV, tracklist etc) then I'd invest in the single. It's a great product to have, lol. *is lame* =P

Well really, it's up to you. Some people prefer YesAsia, some others CDJapan. I think those two websites are the best places to get authentic singles, cds and dvds without fearing of getting bootlegs. But, they can get expensive too. I personally prefer CDJapan. The shipping is really fast, and the items always arrive in good conditions. I've heard of some people saying the same thing with YesAsia, but others also said some of their CDs came in cracked from the same website.

Also. If you decide to buy from other websites(such as eBay for example), when you see a DVD or CD that's sold for 10$ or less, you should be concerned. Is the item in good condition? Is it used or brand new? Is it fake or not? I've been caught before, the DVD look real like the ones sold on CDJapan, and I got it for super cheap, but when I received it, it was a bootleg.

As for MUST HAVE. Well, I thought that Arena Tour 06 was the best she's done so far. And I just watched AT07 also, and really really loved it! Especially with all the backstage and special documentary.

Those are some great choices, AT 05, 06, and 07 are awesome concerts ;)

CDJapan is my first choice, but YA isn't bad either, I've heard. They're good if you want to save a buck, and you can get free shipping with them. So it's up to you. But like Neffiline said, I've of YA stuff getting cracked.

You can get yesasia to put your stuff in a box instead of an envelope by writing in the comments field when ordering. Most of my stuff is from yesasia and I haven't gotten anything cracked. (It even had to go through German mail, but it was still in perfect condition)

I don't know where you're from, but if you're anywhere near a Book Off then that's THE perfect place to get your stuff. Half of my ayu albums are from there.

CDJapan will count towards to Ayu's sales (thats what I heard at least), while YesAsia gives you a free toy if you buy 2 or more japanese products thats marked with the japan mini icon...I buy from YesAsia since I only buy overseas versions. XD

the sellers will let you get your money back? that's awesome. A word about CDJPN: they only sell JPN ver, while YA sell OS versions which are a lot cheaper so you can weigh your options -- more for less?

Well, I'm kinda jumping to conclusions. I just have a really big feeling they will give me back my money. It wouldn't be right if they didn't.

I bought some of my singles from ebay and they're all legit XD! But i had to do some research XD!

I'll keep my fingers crossed, but if they were desperate enough to sell bootlegs, they probably won't take them back.

i buy from yesasia bcos i am long time member of that page. -

i had some o/s versions when i was younger bcos i couldnt afford jp press. but now i am going back and i have every album - every dvd (except the elusive CDL02-03) and i am working on getting every single too :P i have made a contact in japan who shops around all the second hand markets for me and find me some of the limited press singles - and i have most of the 3" singles too! ^^ this is my goal - to get each single and album... i have some remix ones but not all.

I think go with what you like best first... also look at the discography and see which is more rare - hunt these out first bcos they will disapear soon.

i got the majority of my ayu cd's from ebay
and none of them were bootlegs
thing is..there are alll those 2usd cd's for sale from shanghai or wateva distributors
now THOSE are bootlegs
others from just say...dora...are not! =D
the 2usd ones look sooo bootlegged from the picture
