Ayu's First Presses
 

Hey!

Could anyone help me find what releases from Ayu had first presses?

I know that:

Mirrocle World x2 First Press (special sleeve)
Ayu-Mix-6 Gold/silver had "special package" first press
GUILTY had a PB
A BEST2 dvd had colored case
A BEST2 cd had a colored case*
*But, I read back when abest2 was released, that A Best 2 White had 2 different cd covers?

(miss)understood cd had a PB
(miss)understood dvd had a different PB

My Story dvd had 4 different covers (Are they really first press or?)

URAYUU PB had a first press(?) special edition

A Best had first press of different covers *(is it same as My Story?)

I read that DUTY (album) had first press, but couldnt find any info on that...

and um... anyone know what else had fist press? (Singles,Albums,Remix Albums etc...)

Well, EVERYTHING technically has a First Pressing. The shipment originally released is a first press, and once that sells they make a second press, ect.

As for what had a special thing come with her first presses, I think the first album to have anything special with it was MY STORY(the four covers, and a DVD I believe), and as the best albums, all of them had something special (A BEST had all the covers, A BALLADS had multiple covers, A BEST 2 had first press covers as well I believe).

GUILTY and (miss)understood had photo books, I'm unsure as to what Secret had if it had anything at all.

As for singles, I remember H had 4 different covers, but that's all I can remember for first press bonuses there.

Rainbow: with track "0" rainbow (a simple link to a website to listen the track)

Ayu-mi-x 2: speckled case

A ballads 4 covers + slipcase

Free & Easy: the cd has a different "sérigraphie" (I don't know, how, we call that in english)

And some remix albums, had slipcase, for their first press

Free & Easy had the special printing on the CD.

Wouldn't a poster be included as part of first press?

I recall Secret had a poster coming with it...

but the odd thing is sometimes, or so it seems, the 'first press' special things seem to apply to the Japanese versions only? because when I go to HK I can still find like, Album + photobook. OR they just still haven't been sold out yet~

^I don't think they sold out at that point. If you miss your chance at getting the first-press JPN version, it's highly likely you'll find it for OS.

A Ballad: box and 4 covers in random
My story: 4 covers
(miss) understood: photobook
Secret: i think they gave posters
A best 2: coloured case, box slip case thingo
Guily: photobook

Singles xD

A: the golden disc and like 8 different colour versions
H: 4 different colour and a paper box version
Blue Bird: poster
Mirrorcle World: 2 different version long case and poster ^^

Remixes xD

ayu-mi-x 1: poster or postcard, pretty sure one of them
ayu-mi-x 2: sparkly case xD
ayu-mi-x 3: some slip case
ayu-mi-x 4: some difference in packaging i think
ayu-mi-x 6: slip case again and postcard

Yeah. Fans send their own lyrics for Rainbow to Ayu. She read them all and then wrote the song with this inspiration. It is wriiten at her official site in section with interviews :)

do you have both photobooks or only 1 ? I still see some 1st presses of (m)u floating around ebay

I remembered there was a period of time that ebay was selling quite a lot of (mu) with the photobooks , be it the CD only or the CD + DVD editions but now I only came across 1 link that's the CD + DVD edition together with the photobook

woh, i had no idea my A BALLADS wa first press, lol. i only bought it a year ago from yesasia >_<

anyway, it sucks that (miss)understood had different photobooks (on my way and off my day) for cd/cd+dvd first press, but GUILTY had the same ! :(

The regular Korean CD+DVD+DVD edition(At least Black, my White hasn't come, but it's Hong Kong version) comes with this stuff too *just got mine today lol* so you still have a shot at some of the limited stuff~

^sometimes the Overseas versions first press just doesn't sell out, so it's quite common. I bought I am... in Hong Kong in dec 2006 and it still had the first press Obi :P
