Ayumi + youtube

Why does AXEX feel the need to basicly get rid of EVERY Ayumi video on youtube. Okay I understand if they would want to take off PVS/footage from concerts but there is no need to take off the other videos..especially live performances of her at various shows like HEYx3 and Utaban. What are they seriously thinking?

Someone needs to teach AXEX how to utilize youtube. :headache

fanmail 29th May 2008 02:40 AM

because avex <3 money.

DOLCE 29th May 2008 02:49 AM

Well they should learn to like post previews of songs/pvs, and why haven't they learned about veoh/daily motion yet?

:gunAXEX:eviltongu

I don't get it either, it's honestly so stupid :| Other artists - Japanese and domestic/US ones - aren't pulled off of Youtube. And I wonder how Ayu videos are flagged and taken down so quickly D:

LacusClyne 29th May 2008 03:43 AM

it's not just ayu, all of avex artists' videos have been removed, that's why i'm very careful when i upload videos, normally i'll type the tag under AyumiHamasaki or KodaKumi, all in a row, it's harder to trace. my videos can last there for a month.

A lot of times it's the tv station who wants it removed, maybe by request from Avex.

sibby 29th May 2008 04:36 AM

only crunchyroll left. ITS LIKE MY PV POD :D @_@ if they find out about it. im so dead. i cant watch my M from a musuem anymore T^T

where can i watch HEYx3 nowadays manxzxz :(

GRACE 29th May 2008 04:38 AM

Usually I don't include her name or the song titles when I post her videos >.>... It's not just Ayu, Avex or someone POUNCED on my BLACK DIAMOND PV and had it removed within a day of being posted.

Tom Punks 29th May 2008 04:39 AM

^ Then how do we find it? <<

GRACE 29th May 2008 04:41 AM

I abbreviate it. Like for my PV of Mirrorcle World, I called it ah-mw or the kiss o kill AT07 preformance, ah-kok. Or the rare case of the my name's WOMEN PV, which I titled my name's...

Tom Punks 29th May 2008 04:42 AM

^ I just decided to look up ah - kok and I guess you're Animesama? ^o)

GRACE 29th May 2008 04:49 AM

XP Yep. Granted the three I named are all I got, it's easy to disguise the PVs like that, I remember Kingdom PVs for Kuu where disguised similarly, I think they're still up actually...

se7entheaven 29th May 2008 05:09 AM

ya i usually use crunchyroll ^^V

pommy48 29th May 2008 05:11 AM

only crunchyroll left, i've uploaded like 145 ayu videos alone~i uploaded her pvs on veoh, but they got removed~

YouTube helps promote Ayumi, which brings in more profit - Avex should know this. YouTube also introduces Ayumi to international fans who have difficulty finding her products or have never heard her before.

That discussion is years old, but the record and movie companies still fight it. I doubt they'll ever realize the positive sides of pirating.

I must agree with that. To think that Ayu was never popular here in the Philippines (you won't hear anyone talking about Ayumi here often, only about BoA, Utada Hikaru, Yui and some more j-pop artists but never her.), the only way for her few existing filipino fans to know about her is the internet.

Popularity is important for a celebrity. If Ayu is popular almost everywhere, many more people will buy her products and more will come to her concerts as well.

That's a great idea~
Can I subscribe to your vids? :D

ownsarai 29th May 2008 08:51 AM

I had made a lot of fanvideos of Ayu before and most of them got pulled within a month of being posted. After I got the message "This video has been removed because of Avex copyright infringement" I decided to take all of them down to avoid being suspended. :(
