Overseas version catalog number

I just received my GUILTY (CD+DVD) last week and I'm shock that the sticker that indicate Ayu's songs and the font of her name in the clear plastic wrapping is in Chinese writings. So I thought it is an overseas version. Although the obi font is in her real name kanji/hiragana.
The catalog number as I remember is AAJCD2003---I forgot the last letter..
Is that an original overseas version or what? It didn't have the "made in Japan" and I couldn't find any site that answers my question like in eneabba.net/ayu that shows original cds info. I just have a little doubt. I just want a peace of mind. thanks a lot..whew

Well, I have the official HK version of Guilty (CD+DVD) from Yesasia and it has the number AAJCD 20001/D.

KarenPang 3rd June 2008 02:44 PM

GUILTY catalog number ::

Original Japan press (CD Only) - AVCD23504

Original Japan press (CD + DVD) - AVCD23503/B

HK press (CD Only) - AVCD23504

HK press (CD + DVD) - AAJCD20003D

so yup I guess you can say that the GUILTY copy you have bought's the HK press 1

It looks like the first press of the HK version has the number AAJCD 20001/D and the normal edition has AJCD20003/D.

oh I see

well I found that catalog no. that I posted on HMV HK's site

I'm only guessing about the 3 editions of GUILTY's CD+DVD HK version, so this may not be true:

AAJCD 20001/D
includes the photobook and the two GUILTY posters without any text.

AAJCD 20002/D
includes the photobook (and maybe the two GUILTY posters with text.)

AAJCD 20003/D
no photobook

:O

wow you're making me feel small suddenly :laugh

Yes it is.

Overseas japanese releases now starts with AAJCD instead of AVTCD (like before).
Also you can check AvexAsia website. It has the catalogue number under the album/single cover. (actually I don't really remember but I know you can still see the catalogue number clearly)

If you still have doubts open the case. Look at the top right hand corner and the bottom left hand corner. It should have Avex's logo.

Creamy Ayumi 3rd June 2008 11:01 PM

Ohh they changed H.K code. Before it was AVTCD that right?
EDIT: AyumiBest answer my question, sorry.^^"
Why they changed the code?

AyumiBest 4th June 2008 05:48 AM

I'm not sure sorry :( I want to know too...

Why they changed the code?

because they're releasing stuff outside of japan under "avex asia" i think. or something like this. :yes

LacusClyne 4th June 2008 03:17 PM

may i know where did you purchase that?

and to assure your doubt, check if something like this is stated at the back of the cd.
'this cd is made for distribution within singapore, malaysia, phillipines, indonesia....not for distribution in japan.'

if it does, it's 100% original oversea version

Here's the link to her page on AvexAsia. I couldn't read it so I just clicked random pages.

http://www.avexasia.com/cn/artist/ar...HAMASJ&t=2&s=2

If you have other Ayu Overseas CDs you can check that page

I finally helped someone! woots! ^^

Hmmm, bumili ka ba sa YesAsia.com?*
(* = Hmmm, did you buy it from YesAsia?)

I think that you really bought the OverSeas version.
The catalouge# of JPN version is really different from OS version.

For instances; The Japan version has this catalouge # like this: AVCD*****
While the OS version has this: AVTCD or AAJCD

Actually, I didn't bought that. It was given to me by the fiance of my aunt from the US. He bought it from amazon.com.

And yes it is stated that:"this product is licensed and to be distributed to the ff. teritories: HongKong, China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore only..something like that "But it doesn't indicate not for distribution in Japan.
Thanks a lot!

Yeah I think so..it's an overseas ver.

Hmmm..You know what, I should be grateful but there's still disappointment of not getting the JPVer. hehehe...(Demanding)Nonetheless, I'm so happy.. I bet Ayu still benefit from it.!!:yes
