Questions regarding Hikki CD's

Hello All!

Ugh.. Okay I'm sure you're all sick of my rambling on about nothing, but I assure you this will be the last because I WILL cover everything I need to know before I splurge on Hikki CD's.

QUESTION 1: Which of Hikki's Japan releases are available as CD+DVD?
QUESTION 2: Do all of Hikki's CD's come in a standard sized CD case?
QUESTION 3: Do all of her Japan releases come with an OBI?
QUESTION 4: Do any of her CD's come with any sort of first pressing bonus?
QUESTION 5: Were her English singles released in Japan?

Okay... I think that's all, thanks in advance!

QUESTION 1: Which of Hikki's Japan releases are available as CD+DVD?
Be My Last
Passion
Prisoner of Love

QUESTION 2: Do all of Hikki's CD's come in a standard sized CD case?
Albums - Yes
Singles - Varied

Be My Last and Passion CD ONLY editions come in cardboard pocket cases. Unless it's an ex-rental.

First Love album singles are either in the 8cm disc format or in the slim cases.

QUESTION 3: Do all of her Japan releases come with an OBI?
Yes.

QUESTION 4: Do any of her CD's come with any sort of first pressing bonus?
No.

QUESTION 5: Were her English singles released in Japan?
No. Devil Inside and Exodus 04 in US, YMMWTBAM in UK (not 100% sure)
Easy Breezy was a DVD ONLY single in Japan comes w/ OBI.
Easy Breezy was also a limited single which was given out to like 1000? people on her english site.
YMMWTBAM, has 2 editions, the regular UK edition and the promo edition which some members have.

If youre in doubt, go on yahoo japan auctions and search for the item, and stare at a few pictures.

QUESTION 4

YES! If you have a first edition of Distance or Deep River, the physical CD will have a color photo of Hikki on it. If you have a second edition or later, the disc will just be a plain disc!

This might also be true for ULTRA BLUE (but I know it's not true for First Love or Heart Station)

omably 4th July 2008 08:29 AM

^ Cool, my ULTRA BLUE copy came with a colour picture of Hikki on it, I never knew about that, although I don't think my copy of ULTRA BLUE is a first pressing.

@Kobayashiwoof: Thank you so much for the info that cleared up a lot!

Aaaaaaaactually! Not to be a total correctness *****, but the case for Ultra Blue is larger than a normal cd case.
It's about a case and a half thick. I have no idea why. It just is, and it doesn't fit into those cd stands that have the wire/plastic slots for the cases.

I haven't looked at my Deep River cd in a while... wouldn't it it be a B/W pic since every other pic is B/W. Oh! I remember Deep River came with a poster! I remember seeing it at Mikado in SF. Its a pic of her and it looks like she's by a fence or something like that. Or maybe that was a CD promo poster... I could've sworn it was a GWP.

there's just something really good about black & white pics

Just adding my 5 cents:

Heart Station first press does NOT come with a picture on the disc! So don't go through trouble to try and get the first press edition, the disc is plain white. With letters printed on them of course, but no picture.

The first press special edition DOES come with a very nice poster, I fortunately received!

If you want to buy Heart Station + poster now, I think your only option is to buy the album and the poster separately.

btw, does someone know if later (not first press) edition of Heart Station also come with the special message behind the CD?

Amai Yume 12th July 2008 03:02 AM

Yeah it does :)
I didn't get the poster so I guess I don't have first press and there's still the message

omably 13th July 2008 04:20 AM

YAY! I have the first Press of Heart Station! Also! I was looking on eBay the other night and I saw this 'Limited Edition' releasing of a Japanese edition of Exodus the album and it comes in a slip case, just wondering if this is a first pressing sort of thing or something?
