Can you please post your list of your favourite Jpop singers and bands? I'd like to know why do you like them and please recommend me some too! ^^

I love Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Namie Amuro, Ritsuko Okazaki, Onitsuka Chihiro, Koda Kumi, Mika Nakashima, Aural Vampire, Mai Kuraki, Bonnie Pink...

I don't like or i didn't explore very much: EXILE, Tokoshiki, BoA, Ai Otsuka, MM, Ami Suzuki...

So please recommend and post your list!!! :thud

When you say you don't like Ami Suzuki, do you mean her old stuff? (with Sony) or her Avex stuff? I highly recommend DOLCE and her recent single ONE if you like upbeat, dance stuff, CONNETTA if you like slightly alternative stuff, and AROUND THE WORLD if you like pop/electronic pop stuff.

As far as other people to listen to, I have grown to appreciate Leah Dizon a bit, and I enjoy Stephanie because she has a nice voice for ballads. Yuna Ito is also very talented, I highly recommend her singles ENDLESS STORY, Truth, and her second album WISH (especially the song "alone again").

I'm sure there are tons more, just explore the artist threads on this site and download things from the download thread and see if you like the new posts, that's how I found out about some newer artists!

I'm a big Utada Hikaru fan. I'm also an Ayumi fan of course ^__^ (that's why I'm here lol). Those two are the only artists I actually buy CD's of.

I also really like: Ai Otsuka, Tommy Heavenly6, KAT-TUN.

I haven't explored the Japanese music scene fully (lazyness, since I've been listening to hikki and ayu for years) so there are probably a lot more artists I could like out there :) I'll find out.

You should try SPEED but i think nowadays it's too hard for finding their song.. they had disbanded in 2000

you should try for Ayaka. her song is really great..
first song you should have to try is Mikazuki or Kimi ga iru
