Do CD Japan sales affect Oricon Charts?
 

Hey All!

I was just wondering if the sales from the CD Japan site account to the sales which affect the Oricon Charts, I read somewhere that it does and I just wanted clarification! Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't think of a better place to put this! Also sorry if this question has already been asked before!

I'm not quite sure about this either!

I once remembered reading that it does count in the oricon charts but after a few more months i read from someone else that they only count if it is ordered in Japan and not other countries..

well I was told that if you were to buy/preorder stuff from CDJapan it's counted towards Oricon

too bad it doesn't apply for HMV Japan too . Well that's what I was told . Not sure I'm correct on this

It would be quite strange if it didn't count for foreign buyers since I'm sure most people that use CDJapan aren't Japanese. At least, if I was then I would use Neowing instead. :shrug

HMV Japan supports Oricon. At least it says so here: http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/index2.html

Yah CDJapan is for foreigners and it says it coutns so i hope it does lol.

no YesAsia doesn't because its headquarters's located in HK but if you were to be living in Korea , whatever you preorder/order from YesAsia it contributes to the chart/s in Korea

Correct, Yesasia's sales on Korean music contribute to the Korean Music chart.

^ they should do that for Oricon/Japan . Too bad that can't be done
