Please Recommend Me Some Misia Songs and Albums

Hi to those who are reading this thread. Last night, I was on youtube watching the 100 Best Selling Single/Album Sales in Japan (it was a Hey!3 special). While watching a small part of the top albums 20-11 part of the special, they played a clip of a Misia's Tsutsumi Komu You ni... and I really really luffed it. That was my first time ever hearing a Misia song and even tho it was a small clip of it, I really luffed the sound and beat and Misia's vocals to it. Next, I just wanted to watch a small part of the top 20 selling singles in Japan special of the show just to see if Hikki placed (which she did...twice! Yay! :shimmy), they played another clip of a Misia song which was called Everything. I absolutely luffed what I heard. Misia has such a strong voice and that ballad was just powerful (from the small clip I heard). So I came to decision to FINALLY try Misia stuff out.

So can any of you help me out and recommend me some Misia songs and albums? I prefer R&B stuff as I'm a huge fan of the genre but I'll take anything that you think sounds good.

Thankies in advance! :heart

well, obviously the first album to get started with her is her GREATEST HITS back in 2002, if im not mistaken.

her vocals are superb.. especially her style suits me well. Ballads plus a whole lot of remixes. check her DECIMO album if yer into club/dance tracks. you'll love it.

I'm usually a fan of her upbeat stuff such as Rhythm Reflection and Ishin Denshin.

Yay! A new fan! Hehehe and yea I went to her concert last month too <3

As many has said I would recommend you to get her GREATEST HITS album because it's awesome. For recent works you might wanna try her latest album, EIGHTH WORLD or the album before that, ASCENSION.

Her latest singles are Yes Forever and Yakusoku no Tsubasa, which both were released this year so you might want to try them out and she just had a digital single released in August called "Catch the Rainbow" which is kind of different then what she usually does but yea, it's a cool song nevertheless.

i didnt like Yes Forever that much... but Yakusoku no Tsubasa is superb! i loved the whole single. especially because the To Be In Love remix. loved it!

am actually, ordering her DECIMO album next week. :D

Oh, I absolutely adore MISIA! My favorite asian singer ever!

Since you love R&B, I'd recommend one of her first two albums. Love Is The Message is very R&B but it's not my personal favorite...Mother Father Brother Sister is what I consider one of the best albums of all-time if not THE album...so I'd start with that. As for songs, maybe try out:
- It's Just Love
- Hatenaku Tsuzuku Story
- Nemurenu Yoru wa Kimi no Sei
- Koisuru Kisetsu
- Hoshi no Furu Oka
If you're a DCT fan: - I miss you ~Toki wo Koete~

That's most of her older-ish work but she mainly did R&B back then. She's become a bit more poppish/urban now, I think. Still, great stuff.

MISIA is amazing, good choice in asking for recommendations! XD

People will probably tell you "ESCAPE" is the way to go which is the song that got me hooked it is -amazing- and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. haha. Then there's "Everything" and "Rhythm Reflection" all three of these tracks are from her "MARVELLOUS" album which is my favourite MISIA album. There's also "BACK BLOCKS" which isn't on any album but it is my all time favourite MISIA song it's so bouncy and seeing it live from the Kiss in the Sky dome tour is mind blowng. "MARS & ROSES" is another good album to check out because "IN MY SOUL" is definately another of MISIA's best hits.

Also I would check out her ASCENSION album, "Angel" is a beautiful ballad and "Sea of Dreams" is stunning. Then there's her latest album "EIGHTH WORLD" which is full of dancey tracks I can't really recommend any from there you should definately give the whole album a go and DEFINATELY listen to the uber-long but amazing 10th anniversary megamix which is on the bonus disc to "EIGHTH WORLD"

Hope I was of some help!
