History:

Ketsumeishi (ケツメイシ) is a popular four-member Japanese pop and hip hop group that incorporates singing and rapping into their music. They have had several major hits in Japan, including "Sakura", which reached number two on the Oricon yearly chart for 2005 and was featured in the Japanese game Taiko no Tatsujin. Ketsumeishi is a Japanese word for a type of medical herbs made from the seeds of Senna obtusifolia, which is often used for Chinese purgative medicines.

hehehe. im in love with them... i even have a huge crush with the chorus vocalist.. if im not mistaken, he's Ryoji.... its quite hard to be a fan of them if there arent many english infos about them.

When I first watched the Sakura PV, I thought the girl in the PV looked a lot like Ayumi Hamasaki, hehe. XD

My favourite Ketsumeishi songs are: Sakura, Tabiudo, and Kimi ni BUMP. ^^

i have several songs that i like... the ones i can remember now is Sakura, Fuyu Monogatari and Kachoufuugetsu (this is my first song from them)

^ Is that who the girl is in the Sakura PV? Lol. I do like watching Ketsumeishi PV's cus they are like a short story, and they are interesting to watch.

There's nothing new with Ketsumeishi as a group, but there is new stuff going on with individual members / side projects.

DJ Kohno's producing some sort of compilation album, that's going to be released next month.

I'll post again with the details once I can somehow find it, and translate it into English. ^^

^ I don't think there's any new info on Ketsumeishi as of lately.

I do hope they comeback with a new release, it feels like it's been such a long time since they've released anything.

And I need to re-design the first post, as it looks really barebones, hmm... I'll edit it, and put in some more info, like discography, links, etc. :)

And some of the youtube videos don't work, so I'll need to find other links to replace those.
