Has Ayu written this song specifically for someone like untitled~for her~? I remember reading somewhere it was for her grandmother but I'm not sure...
The lyrics are so touching... I'm in love with it :(

Speculation says it's about her father, but nothing has ever been confirmed as far as I know

But it's also one of the songs that she cries while performing.
Songs that Ayu has performed and cried (that I know of):
Memorial address
walking proud
untitled ~for her~
appears @ AT 07 (not too sure of this)
End roll @ AT 08 (could be the result of fake crying)
Most Who... performances
Most MY ALL performances
Most of these songs are either about her family or a lover. Though it's really not clear if Ma is for her dad or whatever but it's clear that the song means a lot to her. :)
And the most interesting song there is 'walking proud'. I don't think it's a love/to-family song... it's very personal and reflective. I like this song and when she cried...

I personally think that it's for her dad, but was she even born when her dad walked out? I don't know...

Once I read she wrote that song because of her father who left her house when Ayu was a child and never came back...

She was 3 when he left, and she recalls going fishing with him in Fukuoka

I'd rather say walking proud AT05 was fake than end roll AT08, looked more real to me

No, untitled ~for her~ is for her friend that died (last year?) because in the booklet for Guilty it shows a birthday and a death date.

wait.. Isn't Memorial Address about her father when he died? I read that here on AHS.

Spoiler:
I fell asleep that night, my heart full of unease
I remember dreaming a sad, sad dream
That morning, the telephone's ring broke the silence
My premonition had become real
Leaving the scars that will never disappear from my heart
You vanished alone to become a star
So this is goodbye - you've gone to a place where I'll never see you again
I still can't even accept the chill of parting forever
I wanted you to tell me, I didn't care if it was a lie
That you definitely loved me
Just once is all I ask
The sadness that probably will never end closes the curtain
The cold of the changing season penetrates my body like a knife, but
That was a summer day that I will never forget
The sky kept crying, because I couldn't
After all, it was so much like the dream I had
Even now, I still can't manage to let the tears out
So this is goodbye - even your final words cannot reach me
Making me feel how much parting forever hurts
I wanted you to tell me, I didn't care if it was a lie
That you never regretted the days we spent together
Just once is all I ask
Please tell me why, until the very end
All you left behind for me was memories
So this is goodbye - you've gone to a place where I'll never see you again
I still can't even accept the chill of parting forever
I wanted you to tell me, I didn't care if it was a lie
That you definitely loved me
Just once is all I ask
This is all a bad dream,
And I have yet to wake - please, tell me so
It's so sad. Now that I think about it, this song could also be about her grandmother.
But the explanation I've once read here is that she never knew her father (except for a faint memory) and that suddenly, after haven't seeing him for years, she got a phone call saying her father died.
But I don't know if that's true, and I guess no one will know. just what I've read.
[BTW, I thought End Roll in AT08 was so fake, I actually sighed and rolled my eyes, which I've never done before during her performances]

If you read the lyrics with the relationship between Ayu and her dad in mind...it really is a powerful song. Too bad she never confirmed herself any of this. We can only speculate...I don't even know how people came up with the connection in the first place, besides the lyrics.
