The best OS ver.?

Hello! I was thinking about buy AT08 OS version, but I don't know what version is the best: Taiwan or Hong Kong?

In Yesasia Hong Kong version is available already and I almost bought it but I thought that it would be better to ask you ^^ .

So, anyone can help me?

Thank you.;)

micster 19th February 2009 02:46 PM

I'd say Hong Kong

KarenPang 19th February 2009 03:04 PM

Both are equally good frankly

at least Hong Kong or Taiwan presses does not skim when comes to quality unlike Warner Music S'pore :innocent

LacusClyne 19th February 2009 04:34 PM

i own the taiwan version of AT06, and when i compare it with the hongkong version, i found that there are different in the paper/color quality. my taiwan version stil have that 'bling bling' (miss)understood logo, while the hongkong version look more plain and the color is lighter then the taiwan.

Taiwan version is the most semilar to japan version, but at the obi spine, they always change to the typical white ad blue text in chinese. this is the only negative part about taiwan version

Taiwan press stuff are actually of better quality but the obi's are different. The spine area of the obi has the blue-white scheme like LacusClyne has stated out, it also have the translations of the title on it (if the tracklist is on the obi itself). But the quality is more towards the Japan version side. Even though the obi for the Hong Kong versions are almost the same as Japan version's, the disc has some wordings that the Japan press doesn't. It says something like

"This product is to be distributed in the following territories: country1, country 2, etc."

I would say that I'll go for the Taiwan version because I personally feel that the Taiwan version has better printing quality and it doesn't have the ugly wordings on the discs.

bottomline's , pick any OS presses BUT not S'pore press :innocent

lovelism 20th February 2009 11:05 AM

I agree with Karen. NO SG press!

I would choose Hong Kong because of the OBI that doesn't have a White boarder like the Taiwan press.

KarenPang 20th February 2009 12:16 PM

sorry I should make myself clear in that for SG press's case , pick any except Warner :laugh

Sony BMG & Universal are still good

I have the Hongkong press of AT07, and I have to say the quality of the cardboard sleeve sucks xD

That might just the case for all versions of AT07 though, since I don't have the Japanese version.

I don't know how the China presses of OBI's look like but for Taiwan press , the centre of the OBI have white for the background & light blue colours for the letterings

ayupan90 21st February 2009 03:01 PM

i have the hong kong version of AT07 and the box is fading and it gets scratched easily :S The black is now more grey lol

the china version has the lousiest quality of all oversea version, but it is the cheapest. yesasia don't have the china version of ayu, thanks goodness. they translate everything to chinese, even the cover and all the description at the back are all in chinese, you can even find chinese titles at times.

and the china version takes the longest time to print(singaporeans, if this makes you feel better, it's like AT LEAST 2 months after the singapore press for a concert). try to avoid china version unless you are VERY VERY broke

But at least they have the same things as the rest.
Eg : GUILTY pb... the very one thing that I keep seeing in shops, but because I already own the album... no point buying

Evolution7/4 25th February 2009 12:01 AM

Yeah, does the Japan version of AT07 have a flimsy slipcase like The Hong kong/Taiwan version?

TeeMo 25th February 2009 12:41 AM

I think the Taiwan version of CDL 07-08 is the best.^^

Polyrhythm 27th February 2009 06:35 AM

x_x All my DVDs/CD's are all Taiwan Press except Utada's First Love Album and Deep River Album (Both Japan)....everything i have of Ayu's is Taiwan Press cept A-Complete...Its China Press...but it comes in a really weird box made of cardboard and with a rather thick picture book....I also have a bootleg version of CDL 05-06 x___x Pretty pathetic.....cost me 2$ :( I really want a Japan press of Ayu's.....most likely gonna preorder Next Level....or buy a copy of My Story on Amazon. Dunno....kinda depressed
