What would you be like without ayu?

What do you think you'd be like if you hadn't discovered ayu? I know that before I discovered her, my life was a mess. My mom & sister had passed away on my birthday and of course I was more than depressed. I was left with my dad and well, he wasn't really the nicest person ever. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fully recover from what he did to me. But anyway, listening to her music and lyrics helped me so much during that time. I think that without that, I wouldn't be able to be here today, or I'd be a pretty sad and messed up person. Listening to her music makes me happy and feel more positive in my life and able to accomplish more things. Without some of her songs I would not have the courage to do things that have helped better my life.

So, what would YOU be like without ayu?

Ah, I knew people would make short & immature comments like that XD Hopefully some people will go a bit more deeper than that.

Sorry, couldn't resist :P

I always feel like I can relate to Ayu's lyrics but they're never really "life changing" for me... more like, "Oh wow she's speaking what I'm feeling." I've never had a connection like that with a music artist :) So I think without her, I'd miss out on that connection and appreciate for a genuine artist, no, a genuine person :)

AyuGAME 18th April 2009 05:55 AM

hahaha...definitely richer...LOL

well maybe i won't be addicted to JPOP world like now...maybe i don't care about JPOP world...
hearing her songs is definitely help me a lot during my hard time too...
she definitely make my world colorful

I agree with jbrat xD I would have so much more money right now. Nonetheless I would be unaffected, I like other singers. Ayu is just another singer in my collection of favorite singers~ But Ayu does provide catchy music and some of the best lyrics ever xD

you might want to see a counselor to help you with your problems.. sounds like you got a lot of issues going on.

without ayumi i probably wouldn't know much about j-pop.. she is one of the main reasons i gave jpop a try! even if i didnt like her music much at first

pommy48 18th April 2009 06:27 AM

hmm i was in a depressed stage of my life and i couldn't really talk about with anyone, but i was able to find something in ayu's lyrics that brought me back, and now i just really love and appreciate ayu for bringing me out of that part of my life

Chef+Vanny 18th April 2009 06:33 AM

my case is..Ayu songs inspire, give me courage and motivate me really!
like for today I went for blood test=injection to *take the blood
I cried as if im at some funeral
So 1st try failed I strained too much
then the 2nd try on right hand
I listened to rollin' and sang along with it
Hola!Its done :D

other songs that influenced me would be Replace,Winding road and many more
for example when I missed my parents I would listen to who...(i duno why)

Thanks for your concern, I'm doing really good now though. I'm finally in a place in my life where I feel completely happy. Maybe it's not the best thing to confide in a japanese popstar to help me through tough problems in my life but if it works, it works. And it's definitely not destructive. :D

exactly :yes ayu just has this thing about her that can always cheer me up and give me confidence

so i would be pretty sad if i hadn't discovered her. she's not just 'music' to me. i feel like i have a much stronger connection to her. it's kind of amazing

sparkle glitter 18th April 2009 06:59 AM

That's awesome some of you agree with how I feel. Ah, AHS isn't as bad as I first thought it was :)

Andrenekoi 18th April 2009 07:04 AM

There are 2 ayu songs... that really mean something to me...

A Song for XX, because I felt just like the lyrics some time ago... and Mirrorcle World, cause after I got happier I started feeling just like it's lyrics too... So, Mirrorcle World gaves me lots of energy last year =) And it turned out being a great year^^

pommy48 18th April 2009 07:07 AM

^ yeah ASFXX was the first ayu song that i can relate too~ <3<3 i think that's why so many love ASFXX, you can relate to the lyrics
