I'm pretty disappointed about the lack of a new song, but I really hope she gets back to doing some Japanese stuff soon (as in like, before 2010 is over :laugh)!

I'm sure she'll have something new by then...

I'm listening to a lot of her old songs. I can't believe I never listened to Kettobase before now.

On the up side, its a pretty damn good remix imo.

Ohhh I know, I'm sure she will too. I was being facetious.

I never get bored listening to Distance
thats my fav album also
i love all songs except eternally and Time Limit

ayuayu798 1st July 2009 11:08 PM

^ Yeah I don't like eternally too much either. It's too slow for me!

I love the "Eternally -Drama Mix-" by the way.

When Utada was doing Exodus, we had to wait until the end of the year for "Be My Last". And then we got "Passion" just a month or 2 later in December. I wouldn't mind another combo like that as far as the timespan between the releases went, but I'm sure Kingdom Heart II's impending release date had a lot to do with how fast "Passion" was released.

Would hate to have to wait that long again though for something.

Lately we haven't gotten a typical Ballad Single since "Flavor of Life" in 2007 so if she's following the same pattern as she did with Exodus and "Be My Last" it may just be time for another although I hope not. Even so, Utada can make some pretty unconventional and interestingly arranged ballads so it could still be exciting if she goes that route.

I know she said that she's ready to do something weird but who knows if that means her very next Japanese Single will be that something weird. She may be saving it for later.

ayuayu798 2nd July 2009 01:44 AM

I love utada's ballads! It's hard for me to like ballads sometimes, because I think their too slow,so I have to get the lyrics to enjoy it. But her ballads are amazing, it's different from the rest.

Lady~Deviance 2nd July 2009 04:54 AM

Her ballads are something else I'll say. I never tire of listening to her ballads and I don't know why.

rikku411 2nd July 2009 05:00 AM

Her ballads are extremely heart-wrenching, and I love them because of that! :D One of the reasons is that she has a great voice. (And her lyrics are strong.)

bluegie 2nd July 2009 06:04 AM

^you can add "haunting" to the list. Her voice (esp in Be My Last) was so haunting that I can't stop repeating the song again and again :P.

Wow, she's so cute! (Your one is a mirror :P) I loved her role-playing, though. She had the haircut and everything lol.

The second person's singing was 10x better though.

Nice entries ;)
