Are you using overall charts or J-pop charts? And are you sure you're not using the PV rankings?

The iTunes charts changes all the time (since people are constantly downloading songs on there), but these seem like accurate charts. I'm surprised the mashup didn't chart higher, and I'm not surprised Sunrise is still #1.

Yep, as of now Sunrise is still the top song and the top music video. Sunset's not in the top ten songs, but its PV is #3.

But Sunset was never the #2 song and Sunrise was not number 1 until 2-3 days ago....

I am. Neither GREEN, Days, Rule, or Sparkle were able to reach number one.

I am surprised as well. It's rather telling when an artist hits #1 on iTunes' chart, since those listeners tend not to like Ayu as much.. haha.

Yeah, I'm surprised by a lot of the #1s over there; though many are huge artists, some that have horrible physical sales manage to get the top spots.

I wonder if iTunes only appeals to a certain niche in Japan.

Well, RIAJ does have a section counting digital downloads, so I'm sure iTunes Japan is included.

impressive! but i'm surprised that it's Sunrise dominating the top spot; i expected Japanese audiences to go for Sunset more, given the pop ballads trend.

Those aren't correct. Noriko Sakai's 1995 released "Aoi Usagi" was #1 on the song rankings for awhile last week.
