original mixes

so on almost every single ayu has released there is always an "original mix".

my question is, are the "original mixes" any different than the album versions?

i always thought they were the same but then the too late "original mix" (i think it was that one) was different.

so yeah, im confused. >_<

I don't think all of the songs labeled "Original mix" is different~

But, some of the songs is quite different, like too late and alterna is different from the singles and the albums, but for another songs i think is the same~

Ayu's new song recently doesn't really different between the singles and the albums...
Yeaa, If i'm not mistaken~

Someone would answer this question too, for sure~

The ones that are different are:
monochrome
too late
appears
immature
Endless sorrow
LOVE~Destiny~ (on the album it's LOVE~refrain~)
WHATEVER
Daybreak
alterna (barely)

But of course with appears and immature they're labelled different, for instance "99 Greeting Mix" and "JT Original CM Version"

Boys & Girls isn't all that different from what I hear.

Picaflor 7/4 2nd September 2009 12:12 AM

I'm lost. how is inspire any different from the album version?

jean-baptiste 2nd September 2009 12:24 AM

thanks mellody and zyoeru for the answers. ^_^

@NintendoHTF1242 & Picaflor 7/4: they're probably very tiny differences. i'd try to see for myself, but the thing with me is that i'll think i heard a difference but when i go back to check the other version it actually was the same.
my ears are weird. >_<

I think too late is the most different out of all "Original mix" to the "Album mix" with the song starting differently to the album ver. and alterna is only really different in the hey hey part with the original sounding less edited to the album ver.

I'm sorry! I was mistaken, I'll edit my post. But it's about 2 seconds longer. But still you're right. XD

as far as i can tell in the singles when the song is tagged 'original version' its to highlight that it isnt a remix or a different version. in some of ayus albums the songs are edited a little for the album but not much.

visionfactory 2nd September 2009 03:22 AM

I think most of songs are sightly different from every release.. for example

AUDIENCE from single
AUDIENCE from Duty
AUDIENCE from A COMPLETE

The one in A BEST is very nice~

Namie♡TOP SECRET 2nd September 2009 08:49 AM

The only ones I know:

alterna
monochrome
too late

That's it...lol

zyoeru 2nd September 2009 04:15 PM

Just out of interest, these singles don't have ANY original form on the single:
appears, kanariya, AUDIENCE, Fly high, WHATEVER, Daybreak~.

yes, i think so too

on the AUDIENCE Single its called: AUDIENCE "Dave Ford Mix"
on the Duty Album its only called: AUDIENCE
but on A Complete ~All Singles~ i don't know... ^^

NintendoHTF1242 2nd September 2009 06:17 PM

AUDIENCE on A COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~ is the Dave Ford Mix. Dave Ford only added an echo and louder instrumentation to his new mix I think. The studio version has no echo and that stuff.

Picaflor 7/4 2nd September 2009 07:59 PM

4ever: ok theres that alterna again. 2 people saying alterna is different between the album and single version. What am I missing out on?

noidea 2nd September 2009 08:10 PM

^ the hey hey hey has a different effect on it in alterna

glitter is slightly different as well: in the album version ayu is breathing in before she begins singing, in the single version she isn't, so they added a breath they probably cut out at first
