Your opinion about Jacko's Funeral

i just heard the nes about Jacko's Funeral.
The media said that the burial cerimony that costed more the 1 million dollar (?? :tired) was on charge of the dead superstar.
The mother infact took the money from the Michael Jackson's patrimony.
is that right?
i'm never been a Jacko's fan, but I find this choice really disgusting...

No. His family should be ashamed.

^Indeed. Putting all that aside, Michael Jackson was just buried around a month after his funeral, what were they waiting for? The whole funeral itself was a disaster (I'm talking about the whole performance they had a month back). Michael deserved better than this, even after his death.

Yep. their attitude was so false..maybe only Janet seemed to be a little sincere..and the brother who lost his twin (I don't remember the name)...
The other brothers and the father looked like too much happy, uh?
it was a funeral, not a concert. It was a commemoration,. only people who loved him should attend it.
that's why I won't have any cerimony after my death..I don't want around my body and soul people that didn't love me in lifetime.

It was far too decadent.

rainydayumi 4th September 2009 06:30 PM

over the top, especially for a faded star that he has become.

Honestly, we don't really know what's going on. There's so much happening, and for us to be ignorant of all of it, it's not really our right to open our mouths and criticize them.

Because you really never know.

I really think his family feels a sort of mix of emotions right now. They're probably sad, and really mad, and really tired.

I don't have a problem with the decadence of the burial either. I think he deserved it. Why is it such a big deal anyway? It's not like anyone's going to suffer because Michael is paying the city $1 million.

Now the burial a month later...I don't know what's up...and frankly, I really don't think I, or the world would want to know the truth. I prefer, just to remember him and my vision of him.

And since he's dead now, people really shouldn't care what the truth is, because it's not going to do anything to change their lives or anything.

I don't understand exactly what people want from that family anyway.

@CREAyumi: You know, at funerals, a lot of people like to refer to them as Celebrations of Life, not really remembrance of a person as dead.

A lot of people like the idea that people can get together, and bond over all the times they had with the person, and have a good time together, as family and friends.

And the reason why they had so many people there, and broadcasted it, was because so many people did love Michael, and because he also loved so many people, including all of his fans.

It's not really a concert. I mean, I've been to funerals where someone sings. His friends wanted to do that for him.

^ Yeah... my funeral... I want it to be all pink and all my favorite songs will be played... like good-bye to the boring old black funerals... all right I'm being weird here.

:yes

Nobody knows what Michael's family is feeling. I think with the way all of them were raised, it might be hard for them to show emotion because of how their father treated them.

Maybe they had to wait so long to figure out WHERE they were going to bury him and what kind of ceremony they wanted. I mean, if Michael was buried in a public place, God knows how many people would be bombarding his burial sight, and even trying to dig him up. (People are crazy!)

It was Michael's money. It's not like they took it from anyone. Their lives are none of our business.

That's the way mine is gonna be. I told my mom I want a pink casket and a Hello Kitty tombstone. I'll have trance playing so that people can celebrate my life, not mourn my death.

I think that Michael would have wanted a glamorous burial, he seems the type. I don't know if he should be the one paying for it, but people do usually leave some money behind for this kinda thing, so it isn't all up to the family.

I don't know if I agree, but I don't think it's my business.

Polyrhythm 7th September 2009 02:02 AM

No, but it isn't my business. His family should be able to bury him however they want and it wont change their mind just because I see them as stuck up rich money hogs
