Copy-protected ayu CD?

Has anyone ever bought a specifically copy-protected CD from Yesasia? I plan on getting the overseas version of A BALLADS, but the warning specifically says that the CD is playable on Windows, but the songs cannot be ripped.

I use iPod, so of course this is a problem...does anyone know if it will still rip as copy-protected AAC (M4A) format?

i think all the stocks are the same right.
I think the copy control sticker meant to be you can't duplicate it but you can rip it using software.
I can rip all the cds that have that sticker using itunes

in my life I only ever had that problem with one cd. I don't even remember what it was, but it was american. I think the sticker is just a scare tactic. >> But you shouldn't buy overseas just for that reason, cause you want to rip it. They wouldn't do that to her cds. If so then they would have done it to all her cds.

I managed to rip A-Ballads to iTunes but mine was Japan Press. I think the same thing applies to Taiwan Press.

I've never had issues ripping copy protected CDs. I ripped RAINBOW and A BALLADS with windows media player and they're fine. I've since burned them onto mix CDs etc.

I've used both old and new versions of players. The newer ones sometimes put a warning but you just click it off. Older (really old) players don't know what copy protection is, it seems, and they just rip it anyway xD

those cd used an old copy-control method which is outdated and can be easily cracked by any cd ripping software nowaday!

:thud This is a really useful thread!! I've been hesitant to buy any Ayu CDs for one reason being the fact that her CDs are supposedly copy-protected. And I wouldn't want to end up buying an Ayu CD that I couldn't transfer to my computer... :no

But then again, if you get to thinking about it, then how would it be so easy for people to rip her newest singles and upload them so quickly? It would take some serious work to get around it, if it were stringent enough...

nanakopy87 30th September 2009 04:24 AM

ya.this is why we still can see people upload it on internet because i believe the technology can solve everything =D
so,don't worry.buy original :D
