Download their disco, upped by Tom Punks: Here ONE OK ROCK (ワンオクロック; pronounced "wan okurokku" like "one o'clock", the time the band used to make their practice sessions) was formed in 2005 with members Taka, Toru, Ryota, and Alex, where the band performed lives as a group, releasing their first indies release in July of 2006. Upon their major debut, they took in their official drummer, Tomoya. "Their sound mixes elements of emo, rock, and metal sounds. Perrrrsonally, I love them. :) Their music is so fun to listen to, and Taka has some really interesting vocals, and the boy really knows how to perform. He's just so interesting to watch. Tom Punks and I had a whole conversation JUST about his hands.. |

This is seriously the best band ever. <3 And they just keep getting better and better as they go. I wish Alex didn't have to leave, and I wish the full version of Around the World shounen had leaked before it was cancelled. ;_; From the preview, that song is seriously amaaaaaaaazing. I can't wait for news that they're gonna release something new. I think I will wet my pants when that happens. : D~ And also, Taka's hands are soooo fun to watch. He's so weirdly interesting. XD |
Yeah, I wish Alex didn't have to leave also. :( All he did was grope a girl! :o (cough) But it seemed so harsh compared to some other people who have not stepped down from the spotlight despite worser things such as drug usage/abuse or whatever. People have forgiven THEM... :(
Yeah, it's a shame that they couldn't have released Around the World shounen before cancelling it. -_-; And those people out there that have the radio CDs really need to be kind to the rest of the ONE OK ROCK fan population and rip their CDs! :@ |

I wonder if he went back to modeling then..!!~~ I'm sure people have the full song somewhere.. We just gotta search, esp. on the Japanese sites! A while back, the radio cd was being sold, I don't know how much it sold for, but last I saw before it sold was like 300$!!! My prediction is a new single when the tour is done, hopefully :] |
Yeah, he did decide to leave on his own. :( It was such a sad conclusion to everything though, I think. I just wish he didn't feel like in order to not tarnish OOR's rep, he had to leave. Although I guess what he did was kind of noble.
I'm not sure if he went back to modeling or not since the company he was modeling for terminated his contract. @_@ And he's no longer under them, so if he is modeling, it's under a new company? I hope they do release a new single when the tour is done. :) Or an album. Either one is fine with me~~~ |

the leader kind of left the same way... anyway!! that's other story~ bah~ i'm at least happy that they continue to make music ^^ are you serious D; i thought he was still under the same model company cuz a few days ago i saw that his page was still up and running.. but it's completely gone now.. ah~ that sucks D; i'm gonna go on a hunt and see if he's on other model agency xDD [EDIT] i dont wanna spam so... reply to tom punks below~~ :"D they sound pretty different without alex.... on the ohp, there's a new live video and right when it started, i could tell alex wasn't there T_T it's not that it sound b a d, it just feels like something is missing.. they'll just have to make all their songs for 1 guitar now instead of 2 >< |
It sucks that his career is basically ruined because he got drunk and touched a girl. >>; Besides, didn't the stories make it sound like she didn't even react for like, a few minutes before suddenly deciding to be like "!)%@#)(%@)"? And it's not like she's gonna be scarred for like because he put his hand on her leg or whatever. (*So unsympathetic toward people*)
I really hope they announce an album after their tour. =o I would love a single too, but an album would be even better. <3 I just wonder how they're gonna sound without Alex. Even though I love Toru a looot, I kind of doubt if he can play the guitar as well as Alex. XD |
OMG, the 2PM incident made me so mad. @_@ It was so depressing, and I felt so bad for leader. (I already forgot his name. I didn't really listen to them, but the whole situation was so depressing for him. :(.. )
Anyway, yeah... I didn't notice they didn't have his profile up any more until recently though. :( I hope that he's doing fine. -_-; And isn't going to become some kind of bum just because of something he did while he was drunk. And yeah, the stories did sound like she didn't even really react for a while either. I do wonder how they'll sound like without Alex. At least though, Alex wasn't the one who was composing most of their music, because if he was, and then suddenly someone else started to compose everything, it might be weird. :S Or that's what I think. At least during their live, they didn't sound bad. |
ONE OK ROCK are releasing their 4th single on February 3rd. It's called 完全感覚 Dreamer (kanzen kankaku dreamer). Accoring to someone on last.fm, they've played it live and it has a similar feel to Around the World shounen... Yay? :D

YAAAAAY for 3 new songs, omg. <3 I just wish around the world shounen was there. :( I'm excited for the DVD too, though I'm not sure how I'll feel about their songs live without Alex... I mean the preview of koi no aibou on their official site was kind of bad. :/ But I'm excited about seeing all of those live (minus Melody Line~) I wish the DVD was the PV though, but whatever, I'll buy both versions anyways. |

The song feels disconnected to me, like... the chorus and the verses don't mesh that well, and the end of the chorus is kind of random... BUT IT'S ONE OK ROCK AND IT'S AMAZING ANYWAYS I CAN'T WAIT TILL I'M IN A BAD MOOD SO I CAN JAM OUT TO THIS :D:D:D I can't wait for the other two songs either! <3 |
