kpop doesn't work on my ipod

well ,normally at least.

it all worked when i FIRST put it on though.

2NE1's First Mini Album no longer works except for 2 songs

Repackage of SHINee's "A.MI.GO" no longer works except for 2 songs

4minute's "FOR MUZIK" does not work at all

2PM's "Again&Again" does not work at all.

i ONLY have this problem with kpop.

LOL...maybe your iPod is trying to tell you something :innocent....

no uh...just re-upload the CD onto iTunes or something....or re-download the songs.

amorphose 18th February 2010 02:34 AM

Try tagging them as J-Pop. :)

jean-baptiste 18th February 2010 02:35 AM

^ ROFLMAO. xDD

^^i agree.
and if it still doesn't work, try downloading them from a different link, cause those may be corrupted. happened to me the other day. i downloaded the same file 4 times and it still didn't work. so i had to find another one.

Paparazzi 18th February 2010 02:46 AM

i have tried re downloading them multiple times and it's the same thing over & over

jean-baptiste 18th February 2010 02:59 AM

^even with a completely different link?

FIRSTKLAS 18th February 2010 03:00 AM

It could be the tags or the encoder.

Strip the tags from the files using foobar2000, re-tag them, and try adding them again to iTunes. And when I say strip the tags, I mean actually remove them, don't just delete the text using iTunes because that's not the same thing.

If that doesn't work, it's probably the encoder. And if that's the case, there's really not much you can do besides hope to find another encode.

...well, you could transcode them but that's a bad idea as it'd just diminish the sound quality of the files. :P

yes. even with a completely different link it still doesn't work.

it works on itunes but not on ipod

jean-baptiste 18th February 2010 03:18 AM

^wow thats really weird.

i think maybe you should take FIRSTKLAS's advice and change the tags.
maybe your iPod can't function the korean font or something.

Picaflor 7/4 18th February 2010 03:21 AM

maybe its the kanji? I don't know what you call korean characters so I'll assume it's kanji.

On my psp I have something called "SensMe" and whenever I play anything with a title not in English characters, it freezes and shuts my psp down every time. (well 99% of the time, or if I flip through my songs at an extremely slow and steady rate it won't shut off.)

minkAYuko 18th February 2010 03:24 AM

this happens to me. I don't know where or how ppl rip Kpop songs, but I always have problem with those mp3, they never work on mi ipod (most of them).

I suggest you Look for other places to DL the songs (this is what I do), not just using another link. Or just convert them with antoher program.

pommy48 18th February 2010 03:25 AM

Oh like when you're turning to listen to it on your iPod, it just automatically skips to the next song?

most of my songs don't have korean characters though yet still don't work.

i'll try what minkayuko said.

jean-baptiste 18th February 2010 03:30 AM

thats so weird.
foriegn characters work fine in my iPod and PSP.

visionfactory 18th February 2010 03:37 AM

when that happens to me with any song I reconvert them to the same format using iTunes

Paparazzi 18th February 2010 03:38 AM

^ I did that and it still does not work.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 18th February 2010 04:15 AM

maybe you got a virus?

can't really think of anything else :/

wildconnetta 18th February 2010 08:08 AM

Scream at iPod...LOL. That's what I do.

Try converting them into M4A, as some MP3s don't work on iPods. M4A is the default quality for iTunes. Then there is no doubt it will work :D

LacusClyne 18th February 2010 04:02 PM

you could rip them in AAC format?

waterballoon 18th February 2010 04:08 PM

I've got a question then... some songs I downloaded... and I mean I use my phone to listen to music, so usually most songs work fine, but some songs when put in my phone, they play normally then at the end, it just freezes and this 'Failed' message appears and I have to manually skip to the next song if not things just stop at a standstill there...

I've solved most of the songs by downloading from a new source, but this ONE single still bugs me... ugh
